oh wow i must have missed that. My bad... Odd. Does it ALSO have the affinity then?
your reading skills get lower everytime you talk about same thing it seems hihi :) Its not called affinity anymore, but its also on the Staff list^^ (I think because affinity has an opposite element where it has negative effect, but this staff cant do this)
Magic attack+, magic accuracy +, and avatar perpetuation cost-3 for each element (※2) (should be +2 on NQ +3 on HQ or w/e equal to it.. i hope

Difference between affinity and what elemental staves do is a bit different than just namesake and negative effects. It's a difference between the effects being additive and multiplicative.

It has all the hidden efffects of every HQ staff (except for the negative effects of casting, say, Water nukes with Jupiter's Staff.)
Was curious if it acted as an Obi so I could toss all of mine. Well, except thunder and ice since I actually DID those trials. And light obi for 15% cure pot+ waist/cape on sch

And the reason i used affinity was because of the wording on the wiki page about it
Elemental Staves have a small (+1 or +2, depending on NQ or HQ) and hidden general elemental affinity bonus for their particular element that provides a boost to all three affinity categories. These are level 51 staves, may be equipped by all jobs, and are created through Synthesis (specifically, Woodworking).
I do know they are added differently than the dmg of the ToM staves. But the wiki had used the term "affinity" right on there. That's why I had asked.

this isn't replacing the magian macc/mattk staves? Its an all jobs staff from the images floating around.
Its only replacing the lv.51 elemental staves. In fact the elemental staves are the synergy ingredients to make the multi-purpose ones.

Anyone else thought this opens up the possibly of BLM being able to nuke to 100 TP, run in, Spirit Taker, run out? Or is that just a stupid idea?

Actually... this is potentially an alternative to magian staves. Depending on how much your inventory space and time is worth to you, as well as the availability of weather or weather buffs, you're losing at most 7.6% or so damage with a small increase in accuracy when comparing Magian staves and an HQ prism staff during day/weather. It potentially gets lower when you add more and more weather/day gear.
Magians are still better for raw damage, but I wouldn't look down on anyone for using this provided proper circumstances tbh.

All I know is, with this taking all my HQ staves to make, and has the effect of every Obi, this clears SO MUCH INVENTORY SPACE!

That doesn't necessarily work as a good reference. You are also benefitting from the fact you are more in line with the skill range that zone is best suited to.
I would strongly suggest skiling in Abyssea still if you are aiming at capping parry in a timely manner.

Guarding from 200 ~ level 95 cap in 1 hour 30 minutes, on Mandragoras.
So seems to be equally as beneficial as Evasion.

yes, that wasn't changed, just as they said. the only addition is whatever bonus you get from additional basic stats as well as the 10% bonus from weather

so you get 10% damage bonus but it's not 100% proc?
wearing an obi would make it 100% without adding damage? why is this so confusing

lmao, the whole list are just 1 day of work. I guess I'll come back when there are some real new contents like the when the new expansion is out. If you think that's one day's work I'd love to know how many people you think were working that day.
I know. Don't feed the trolls.

Yes. Combining both is a 100% chance of +10% damage from day/weather. Still not sure if it's 10% for day AND 10% for weather of just 10% for either, since it's darksday and there's no dark weather and it's ***.
