New Belt?????

its clear to me what we should expect from the new belt

simply put its on everything now and monk has very few sphere items for general use, and well lets put it like this,, if you are fighting witha master you would be motivated by him/her no doubt about it so just taking those oppinions into account sphere must be a viable choice.

i expect something ridiculous like the following

15 str
15 haste
- 15 damage taken
- 15 subtle blow
sphere - subtle blow haste pdt + 5

making actually wearing it grant you sphere or perhaps a new sphere version so we can have multiple effects of sphere esque effect active, it would give a ridiculous personal boost and a great boost for a whole DD party meaning aquiring it will be extremely difficult and restrict it to the true masters of the bushin ONLY! :P

Seriously though, if you think a 5haste, 5pdt sphere is viable and not overpowered... you need to take another look at what current spheres are.

Maybe the requirement items will be like
Nidhogg's Scale
King Behemoth's Fur
Aspidochelone Shell

With the 3 new HNM type mobs showing on the Adoulin page, seems a logical step to place a rare drop on each of them for the new belt. Already would be similar to the BB mobs, youve got a shark for aquatic foe (Aspidochelone prior), a horned magma... thing (KB prior) and then a Giant Bee for the flying (Nidhogg prior). While again, all this thread covers is ideas, this seems plausible.

If it follows the trend of the other 4 belts, it will be mediocre, and probably not needed for well equipped mnks. If it has stats such as DA/TA/QA/Crit/STP/whatever else then it will be good.

Amazing...they want to improve black belt, but the won't look into jobs such as red mage or summoner..... as if mnk needs more....

What is a PDT set?

I know there are seven, I read the page as well. I simply said "With the 3 new HNM type mobs showing on the Adoulin page" directly referencing the 3 that they had images for. Drops could be shared among a couple of them, shared among all of them, or it could require an item from each one. I cant say I care about the requirements so much as the stats the belt will have. If it is a high enough step above BB, then I dont think many people will say the effort wasnt worth it after getting one.

Black belt is far from useless, but whether or not the new belt will be better by a large enough degree for MNKs to drool over as they did the BB... yet to be seen.

Hopefully these are world spawns, no more having NMs handed to ppl on a silver platter, bring back the glory of HNM days!

thats what i loved about it, ppl crying bots with no evidence. Someone had to lose claim everyday and those who did acted like babys about it. I remember when things like E body/Riddil/D ring/titles from DI/SW/Tia were something to take pride in. Now theres only legion and even that is easy.

Capping PDT is hard.

Btw, getting a d.ring would be far easier than 7 hnm drops in a new expansion.

Based on their comments at Vanafest, I suspect the Naakuals system will be something like limbus, where you enter dungeons/lower fights/participate in colonization ops to get items that will ultimately become the popset for the Naakuals.

They didn't forget, its in the closet next to Cait sith.

They are probably still deciding to put haste on it or not. Not like we use the black belt for its haste or really anything other than a pdt set these days.
