I don't think its completely impossible to solo Momento Mori and Body Slam around the level you can learn them...just difficult for the level/adds in the area/etc.

Oh good idea. Delta Thrust + Debuffs + High Dmg Spells on occasion basically?
With a good evasion set, you don't need to debuff much, or at all really. Heavy Strike, TP, and stun work well. Used 1400hp as my buffer. He cannot deal more dmg than that at any given time.
Did you /NIN for shadows?
I can *probably* do this easier on THF/DNC but I think it will be more fun on BLU or I at least want to try it one time before I full time farm Bria on THF/DNC...wouldn't have to leave the zone that way.

You guys play really conservative for bri. All you need to do is just whoop its ***. When i do it on blu i stay /blu and rely on sudden lunge and occultation. It only gets gnarly when he 2hrs but i just kite it til zombie is off after that I continue the carnage. But tbh its dead 50% of the time b4 it even gets to use it. I have really gained a newfound respect for blu lately and im really enjoying playing it. btw Thaumas coat + 2-4 sword = TP monster <3 it

im just that awesome and go blu/blu lol. but na i stay /pld that was my mistake. and i just use my normal DD atmas for blu VV RR and MM.

I'm not quite sure I caught all of that but an immortal dies every time someone uses an oa2-4 sword.

I read it a while back and i took it into consideration. but the thing is i have any swords for different situations. In this situation I use the 2-4. I just spam ws and spells and watch its life drop.

I too have many weapons for various situations but if killing as fast as you can is the goal here, a str shikargar will win. The oat or oa2-4 weapons do not provide quite as much of a boost to ws frequency as one would expect and they also kill your ws damage and melee dps.
The only time I can really advocate a multihit weapon for blu is for procing or when you WANT something to die slower.

@sek i know where ur getting at but i run parses on all my jobs all the time and this just works better for me. ever since i got a thaumas coat i can spam every couple of seconds.

I remember doing that fight at 75 when it came out and was getting all hard on the amazing dmg i was doing 2 lol. Did you do it solo? and did u just go in a rape the boss or did u kill babies 2?
Two-hour and skillchain, you can kill it before it even retreats once.

@Boogerballs - Yes solo, and it took him out before his helpers showed up. Easy stuff, but I did this about 5 minutes ago.

How exactly can you tell from a parse vs yourself that you do more dmg with a worse weapon? :P

Not to mention many parses have to be taken in very controlled conditions in order to categorically prove something (especially if you enter with confirmation bias).
Mathematical models however are extremely accurate if the underlying formulae are accurate and the person performing the calculations sufficiently rigorous.

The real problem with current model is it's too focused on full blown offense without the very least factor of human errors or probability of going to defensive stance.
I only buy the idea until "damage range". After that it's kinda rubbish.

It shows what's best in an ideal setup, we all know it might not be true 100% of the time, but it gives us a very good idea what is better if used perfectly

3/50 Briareus Helm
Not sure if expected, but farming the KI was the most difficult part of this so far and I see it staying that way (if I am going to be soloing)
Solo:
1/3 KI on Adamastor
1/6 KI on Pentagruel
1/4 KI on Grandgousier
Took me literally 3 and a half hours to solo farm 1 pop set on BLU...
Killed Bria on THF with a WHM friend, battle was easy as hell. Dropped 1 Helm.
Me and him then farmed another set together and there happened to be some people farming them as well. Teamed up and procc'd all 3 - got another pop set within 35~ minutes.
Killed again and got 2 Helms.
Getting that first pop set solo was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E without procs. I don't have PLD leveled so I don't know what a better alternative is to solo farming them and having multiple red procs >.>
