I did a few times in the past. I came across a few people who I thought were RMTs back in "the day" when gil mattered. I tracked their ah purchases/sales and logged down a few of their common places that were out of the norm. I then got wise to their items sold / methods used to acquire items and made a nice chunk of gil off that.
