Fox News rejected in Canada because.....
Bismarck.Flavin said: » All news media use shortened bits of quotes to make it seem like something else... it was like when they plastered stuff about Romney liking to fire people when in context it was more that he liked to fire people that didn't do a good job for what he hired them to do... not near as bad but still dickish... Granted if I hired someone to paint my house and they did a bad job I would let em go but I wouldn't eget my kicks off that... They do stuff like that for movie and game reviews too... they advertise it with only a bit of what the review actually said to make it look better... Oh for sure, and it's disgusting. Maybe I am a little different than a lot of people though, but I see just as ridiculous BS on pretty much every cable news show I've seen. It's just a different flavor. So to me, singling any one of them out makes me think that we're not really getting anywhere with actually fixing the problem. ....and I assume you're from Quebec putting the dollar sign after the figure.
Besides, Alberta isn't the amazingly awesome province. It's gotten a great rep for it because of the bigger cities, and then obviously the oilsands in Fort McMoney - but it's got its share of wtfuckery too. Even just the roads thing that you brought up, you can tell when you've left the cities, or have hit some of the non main roads even while in Edmonton. News: They do lie, but mostly to make sensationalism out of not much. Sports: Haven't won Stanley Cup since 1993 I assume you are a troll, or from Alberta. Fixed that for you. It seems Canada's problems are much worse than previously thought. I like this response to the HuffPost article. It sums up my feelings. And I personally dont read/watch/listen to much news because of all the slanted views from all angles. If you put too much crap in, then you will start spewing it out.
Quote: Sure, no argument here - FOX news is pretty clearly not governed by truth or integrity. I suspect we collectively have come to see them as we see “All Star Wrestling” – everyone knows its fake but thousands suspend belief to watch anyways, kind of a form of entertainment if you will. I am saddened however by your article – you should know better, shame on you. You hold up the notion of truth and carry it forward as shield for us all, and as a leader so you should. You however start with a truth and quickly twist facts and make false statements (misleading at best) to build your own barrage of deceptive information and fabricate an attack on another person to further your own goals. Whether Harper is a bupkis or not I will let others decide, what irks me is people puffing out their chest, standing on this ideology of truth, deriding duplicity and lying while all the time doing it themselves to promote their (your) own agenda. Get your facts straight and try again without personal bias – we are all ready for the truth – honestly! Everyone needs to understand that journalism, politics and entertainment have merged, get over it! Its everywhere as clearly evidenced by FOX news and the article you just posted. I'm not sure which is worse ... news outlets twisting details to show news in their own biased views, or people eating it up as if it's all true.
It's really depressing sometimes. I'm informed, I do research on the news items that interest me to find the truth, and act accordingly. It just baffles me that people are so happy being ignorant, I can't imagine acting like that. A good quote I've been using a lot lately ... In terms of their coverage of events such as the rioting in egypt or the nuclear powerplant disaster in japan they do a decent job especially when i flip channels back n forth between cnn and fox because usually one of them covers something stupid as a filler.
however both fox and cnn does a reallly crappy job when it comes to political converage except which electee is winning what states best news source ever: http://www.google.com/
Thank God now beacons of truth like msnbc and CNN who have recently lied and retracted statements about something as recent as the Zimmermen case can truly shine their light of wholesome unbiased truth without any contrasting point of view for the better of open mindness and objectivity.
edit:abc news = msnbc volkom said: » I like fox news.
