There's no reason it shouldn't have the authority for either.

People are part of society first before their personal rights go into play what's better for the society takes priority.

health overrides this ill-manufactured concept of not being offended being a right.
So if you want socialism go to another country. The Constitution trumps your ideas, and it is the ULTIMATE AUTHORITY in America.

again, people who spew this crap no nothing of the Constitution.

also if you hate socialism so much, stay off the roads, don't expect the police to help you, etc.

don't speak of things you don't know.

Oh I'm sorry, did you know Sanger personally? Maybe you can tell us if she really does look like she was reincarnated as Fluke.

The same Constitution the GOP wants to morph into a Theocratic document?
If you want to argue that the Dems want to turn us into a Communist state then at least be fair and balanced enough to admit that the GOP doesn't give a ***about the Constitution.
Link? No, I won't equate my valid arguments for your baseless, contrived babbling. What do Republicans promote in violation of the USC?

It does show the interesting dichotomy (is that the word?) in the different schools of learning: learning by punishment and learning by preparation.

He wants these people to *** up and learn from those *** and suffer through it, or that's at least what he's coming across as.

The lot of others don't want them to *** up, but admit that a lot of people make those *** anyways, and we should give them the tools to deal with the ***they're about to enter in anyways.

I don't want to pay for birth control, honestly, but I know that it would greatly help the people around me that need it, and I would never deny another human being the right to the tools that could make the difference between a ruined life and a great life.

The argument made by those against BC is just baffling to me.

We've tried the theocratic way of handling sex and guess what? It didn't work. If people can't be bothered to look back into history I suggest they go look at modern countries that use the "sex is evil", "women are evil", "sexual urges are evil" schtick and see how they are doing for a snapshot.

If creating generations of sexually repressed men and women who make poor decisions thanks to the institutionalized thought that sex is evil is our goal then take away birth control and go back to the ignorance of abstinence. It doesn't work and we can enjoy the legions of men and women who resort to forcing themselves upon little boys, girls and whoever they can get the urge out on. We'll just blame Satan right? Accountability is for chumps.

The good old days weren't better, I assure you.

We're humans, we have reproductive urges and we're smart enough to know when to keep children at bay if we're unable to take care of them using condoms, birth control and other forms of contraception. No one wants to pay for birth control but tax dollars have gone towards less important things and only through education and accessibility can we give people the options to live out healthy lives.

To the religious who feel otherwise, I implore you to continue your path and practice what you feel is right but just leave the rest of us out of it. This isn't a battle to force BC down your throats but moreso to keep the populace from being conformed to your specific moral kool-aid.

And make no mistake from what the GOP has been churning out lately this won't end until women are back to boiling pennies to induce abortions, sex ed is reduced to "just don't have sex gaiz" and all of the moral codes that made the 16th century a wonderful time are bolted back in place.

None of those three should be federalized. It's different with roads because roads can't be bought by an individual like health insurance or a house or an education. Police are funded locally.

Roads come at a price. I'm sure Carnegie could have afforded his own roads; why should we give to the public if the rich can afford it and the plebians can't?

Most roads are funded locally. There is some restriction on federal highways that can only be mandated under eminent domain.

Patriot act (both parties are guilty of this)

and article 6, numerous times.

see religious tests and VA republicans trying to overturn a federal law because a state law conflicts.

and you are full of lies and half truths.

What is your definition of socialism and why do you believe America has not had socialist tendencies for many years?

"The whole people must take upon themselves the education of the whole people and be willing to bear the expenses of it. There should not be a district of one mile square, without a school in it, not founded by a charitable individual, but maintained at the public expense of the people themselves."
— John Adams, U.S. President, 1785 [32]

Public education is not listed as an amendment in the US constitution but it has been advocated for many years. Does this make the founding fathers socialists?

Or does this mean maybe the founding fathers of 230 years ago didn't create a document that perfectly understands all future generations needs?

According to a report done in 2005, there were 134,372,678 people who filed their taxes.

According to IRS records in 2005 Planned Parenthood received $305.3 million dollars from a combination of federal, state, and local governments.

Doing the math it comes out to an average of $22.72 for each tax payer for that year. That's not much at all.

Now consider that they get less than a 1/3 of that now. So all this gripping over what, $7.50 a year to help control unwanted pregnancies that would inevitably cost the country a lot more.

RIDICULOUS!
