We've tried the theocratic way of handling sex and guess what? It didn't work. If people can't be bothered to look back into history I suggest they go look at modern countries that use the "sex is evil", "women are evil", "sexual urges are evil" schtick and see how they are doing for a snapshot.

If creating generations of sexually repressed men and women who make poor decisions thanks to the institutionalized thought that sex is evil is our goal then take away birth control and go back to the ignorance of abstinence. None of those three should be federalized. It's different with roads because roads can't be bought by an individual like health insurance or a house or an education. Police are funded locally.

Public education is not listed as an amendment in the US constitution but it has been advocated for many years. Does this make the founding fathers socialists?

According to IRS records in 2005 Planned Parenthood received $305.3 million dollars from a combination of federal, state, and local governments.

Doing the math it comes out to an average of $22.72 for each tax payer for that year. That's not much at all.

Now consider that they get less than a 1/3 of that now. So all this gripping over what, $7.50 a year to help control unwanted pregnancies that would inevitably cost the country a lot more.
