Some days Armored Pisces give me great skill ups like 1-2 lvls and other days i get maybe .3 out of 200 fish either way its still seems better than nashmau. Been doing Armored Pisces since 80 and have been happy with the skill up rates.

Using two skill up rings, I hit 100 from armored pisces in literally no time. And on that note I just snagged serpent rumors today! Just boarded the ship to alzahbi with tons of meatballs and light crystals on hand~ Here goes nothing.

That's exactly how my inventory looks lol.
So I guess it,s normal to get like 1-1.5 skill up daily now when I,m lvl 70 fishing. Or perhaps a better spot than Talacca and it's dils and mercs.
just got opal silk around 5 am est this morning 1/about50 0/85 on gugs so far
These gugs are such a pain with lushang. Caught 20 with only about 4-5 rod breaks. Shame it's taken about 2+ hours >_< I am just glad I can fish my own though finally.

I'm assuming that higher level fishing results in less line breaks / rod breaks, yeah? Im thinking about capping out on Black Sole (96) before even attempting to get ebisu.

I was 100 before I got my Ebisu, I think I went to Armored Pisces in the 80s though.
I'd attempt to go fish my own liks but seeing I'm only 86 w/o any of the EX rings I'm kind hectic on doing so......

eh, they are very annoying.
2 smn 2 hours kills two of the three, leaving one with like 5%. You need yag drinks, ethers, etc. A 3rd member helps secure victory easily and they don't have to 2 hour and can even get on cor to reset and do it again afterwards.

well... you only get 3 people and smn is just the simplest method. I think you can substitute one for a blm though.

possibly, I'm not sure :x I started the ebisu quest at 100 a long long time ago
Gugs are a headache so I would get that done first Liks are pretty easy, you could but lots of line breaks I did mid 80's till 90 on Liks.

1. Both are worth it to catch, gugs are much harder and are more of a pain.
2. I'd wait till 95+ before you try tackling them, but even then you'll get frustrated quick.
Ive never fished anything that could break my Lu Shang's... so how often does this happen? Is it user error, or just dumb luck of depleting stamina completely and it just randomly breaks?
It's just dumb lucky my friend, Gugs are notorious for commonly breaking lu shangs, Liks are as bad.
Well I do know the first time I attempted to fish a gug (was ~83 at the time)

Sorry, Im just really not looking forward to breaking my rod a hundred times. I dont have woodworking leveled, so this is going to be a huge pain for me -.-;
