Go to Nashmau and try there. (Shrimp Lure) Neither the Mercanbaligi or Ahtapot are too hard to reel in. They are great fish to npc so you make a nice bit of money while skilling up. YOu can stay there until 90. (Merc cap at 86)


Now for my question.

Can you catch Gugs TO and FROM Whitegate <> Mhaura? or is it just Mhaura > Whitegate?

Definitely both ways. AFAIK, there is no fish that is only on one leg of the city <-> city ferries. That BS only happens on stuff like the manaclipper.

Oddly enough you can only get gugs with pirates from mhaura to selbina, not from pirates going the other way iirc, besides the other 3 routes.

Around what level WW can I repair Lu's reliably? Leveled my mules WW to 70 over the last couple days JUST so I can repair the rod as it snaps like a twig on Gugs.

Starting the Clothespole break and repair stage now. I can ride that to 73, but will that be enough to repair Lu's without using 12 crystals? (I tried at 69 but didn't repair it in a stack of crystals XD)

Has anyone noticed a change to the Brigand's chart quest to get a Penguin ring? Me and a friend have failed to get a ring twice in a row now when catching five boxes or more.

<edit> We did the fight day before yesterday and got a ring which was muled to another character. So wondering if they added a once a week limit to the ring or something.

While rings can only be found from the 4th chest and onward, they are not guaranteed to appear. Sounds like bad luck to me.

Probably bad luck, i agree. Also noticed that while we did the first ring fight, it was full moon. Maybe moon phase affects the drop rate too.

Then my rod broke. But hey, 2 hours with a Lu'shang has got to be some sort of record.

Pleasantly found out that Giant Chirai in The Boyahda Tree cap at least at 107. Been fishing these for a Pelican.

It seemed to hang around a 20-25% bite rate. Finding a small light-weight one is a real chore. 700+ fished up and the lowest I got was 429. Minimum is 344 -_-;
