/sigh, probably not the smartest thing to put on here if you didn't want people to be around you fishing i swear it's people posing about haks all over what got them camped so bad and now you go mention the other fish way to go.

did you try the boats? 2 to selbina/mhuara, one to wg (maybe 2? prolly 2) 2 to nashmau i think!
That doesn't help my boredom of hakuryu :O
I'm fishing in abyssea because it's cheap, and they sell for 10k as well. I have so many stones idk what to do with them, so I might as well use them to fish.
what do you mean cheap? still uses the same lures :x
Plain minnows are still dirt cheap here, not anything like sinking minnows which are nearing 4k. I don't want to hunt the boats right now D:
Lol.. those are so easy to HQ if you know an alchemist with GS sub.. like they are supposed to.. I used to make them all the time for people..
and they also take 30 seconds a synth. id rather buy minnows and be done in 3 mins than take 20-40mins

Why not?
The people doing that are players who bot for hours and hours. In abyssea you're going to be interrupted and have to zone out and refill stones.
Also these fish came out the same time as Hakuryu did, if you kept up to date with fishing after every update you knew about them for a long time and chose not to fish them because Hakuryu was more convenient.
Me posting that isn't going to change a thing. People aren't going to suddenly want to move into abyssea and earn the same amount of gil. It's not some secret or anything >.>

I'm talking about just use your 3rd party tool that you use to fish, that also has crafting on it... you afk when you do the one.. what's the difference afking for the other? You can even lvl up 2 skills while doing it if you don't have alchemy and gs yet. Great way to make money is also make some extra lures sell them on ah and fish. Getting bank on both sides of the spectrum. Now you just need to take broken fishing rods for cheap, then resell them as well if you have WW and Alchemy for way more you got it. Then you can be a bigger tycoon (if you have the mule, or 2ndary account and or 2nd computer) to get 99 thf with TH what ever it is now-a-days and farm bastok ftw.

I was fishing Lik earlier today, on the left side of the pond and noticed that there is this giant bird thing that swoops down over the pond and then back in the air. It circles around the pond like once then goes back and disappears behind the mountains to the NE. Was pretty random...

If I'm not mistaken, earlier in this thread you mentioned those fish anyway Kali. It's been awhile since those four fish came out that most people forgot about them.
And its like you said, not going to really kill doing them, considering most people are doing haks afk anyway. Not sure if dude is serious upset about it, but there is no reason to be haha.
Protip: Don't have your volume turned up when this happens. That dragon has a kinda high pitched scream that made me nearly fall off my chair first time around :/
Still skilling up and stuff. Just got my first Pelican Ring ever. Got 100 Alchemy (really not motivated to hit 110), so I'm pretty much full-timing fishing while finishing up KI.
Question regarding +fishing Gear. Do you keep the +gear on at all times? Does it matter if the +value puts you over the target fish's cap?
For Alchemy, I've always made sure my differences were set by keeping gear on or off. Does this matter for fishing?
There are fishing topics that come up now and then but mainly are asking a question for a single answer. I know there are many fishers that visit these forums so this is an attempt to get people involved and have a little fun discussing one and only one thing, fishing!

I know Blue Gartr has a Fishing topic already, but I would like to see this community get involved a little bit and talk, since not everyone visits BG. I would love to have a topic just for fishers including veteran fishers, casual fishers, and even players just starting out and want to ask a few questions without being embarrassed about starting a whole topic for a simple answer they could not find.
I only ask that you keep any bot talk to a minimum, preferably none.[Moderator edit: No bot talk] I want this to be a place where we can discuss anything from GP items of the day to what lure/bait to use or what area is best. A quick mention of how you're doing on the lu shang/ebisu quest, how you're doing getting your fishing items from Grounds of Valor, that item you're saving your GP up for, or how much you wish you could hurt Zaldon for not finding anything in your fish for the 10,000th time. Your lucky moment streaks and the moments when you have nothing come your way and question why you started fishing in the first place. Anything that comes to mind, think of it as the random thoughts thread for fishing.
