My bf was doing some testing today since he obtained ebisu. Only good data is the %'s since my character was fishing longer than his.

Using sinking minnow of course, and also this wouldn't be valid data to post as averages. This is just an example of someone with fishing gear/furnishings and all that stuff, and someone with just the basics.
Also he was using my rings so I didn't use puffin or noddy. I think it is because of the level difference, also he wasn't fishing as long on his character compared to mine, that explains the huge difference between the number of casts.
Also, the unwanted is so much higher on mine because he wasn't catching black sole.
No where close to an accurate way to test.
I would of used the same level between characters, started at the same time and ended at the same time, yada yada, but I think gives something to the difference between fishing skill.
One thing is certain though, the line snaps are so different with a 7-10 difference between skill levels.

Anyways, I thought it was interesting what 10 levels does to your total catches.
