I don't know the answer to your question.

I like it because I can see it interpreted in two different ways.

1) "What I've just heard is so stupid and here's why..... wait.... why would I point that out. If you were indeed stupid enough to not see the error in your statement, being shown why will do no good."

2) "Here's the answer to your question... wait... hmm.... actually.... I don't know.... hmm."

One insults intelligence and the other is pretty benign. Dual purpose meme > single purpose meme!
I like Nathan Fillion in Firefly. He does so many of those gestures and witty comments on that show.

anyone seen what the new fish npc for/tried gutting?
This

Don't update notes usually specifically state that "Inside the Belly" eligible fish have been added?

I don't recall seeing any in the update notes (not that SE is incapable of erring).
Yes that is true. No, there weren't any new fish added for Zaldon to gut. It does not mean, however, some current fish may become guttable in the future.

in the future

You're going to hang onto fish in hopes that they MIGHT become guttable?

I know a few people on Ramuh who made mules for Matsya a long time ago (as in back when they first found out how to catch them during WotG days), and stored them. They made out like bandits when the time came. They sold every fish for 1m+ each when shawl first came out, and then for 400-700k after, and both those two players now have mythic weapons and a few relics they didn't have prior to that. The other person still to this day bazaars them but I have no clue what they have now since they don't use ffxiah for their gear.

Yes that was a huge gamble, but no way SE would release a fish only catch-able by EX bait and have no future for it. I used to joke with them about how they wasted a few mules, get them 80 gear slots in every spot (including mog sack and locker). They knew this and I just wish I was smart enough to do the same :(

Even with the above in mind, the question is not "has anyone found any guttable fish?"

The question becomes "Has anyone found any fish that it seems will become guttable on account of requiring ex bait/legendary fish messages/size/weight displayed/difficulty in catching?"

And the answer is likely "yes, but I'd be a fool to post about it on an open forum" if the person is motivated enough to stock mules hoping it is guttable.

Currently at level 86.2 Fishing. I've tried armored pices,haks/gigant squid, black soles and cave cherax. Each of those I've given a whole 200 day cap go at them with no skillups. I'm currently on my 3rd day of black soles, does anyone have any recommendations for what worked best for them at or around my level?

Staleyx - shrimp lure in Nashmau will get you good skill-ups to 90 on Ahtapot, and then Lugworms to target Pterygotus until 99. Or just target the Pterygotus straight off and skip the Ahtapot

Theres no way your going days on end at 86 without skillups if your catching 200 fish, armored pieces are good to like 108, the only other good option is Dils in the cove, which are the exact same thing as black sole.

It does happen. At 90 I went almost 600 fish without a skillup on pisces my first time leveling fishing. Then got 2 levels on them the next day. Just bad luck, keep at it the skill will start coming soon enough.

If you have woodworking the best place i skilled up was Qucksand caves off Cave Cherax. I got form 80-100 in about almost 2 weeks i would say. Maybe less i don't remember but it was fast. They give .3 skill up a lot.

Random observation on Haks. I feel like I'm hitting soft fatigue quicker on Sardine Paste than I usually do with Minnows/Sinking Minnows. I'm getting about 10 Haks every 100 bait for the first ~3 hours, then it always begins to dip to about 6 Haks every 100 until I zone. With minnows I always felt as though it was a lot more consistent and didn't need to zone as often. Just me?

Question about Guild Points. I'm raising my mule's fishing level while doing GP simultaneously. If I'm at level 48, can I do the GP fish for that rank, rank up, and then do the next rank's fish in the same day?

I don't believe so but check and see which is higher and do that one...

That's what I'm planning to do, but was hoping there was a loophole :(

From what I hear, you can turn in all but one fish, rank up, then she'll ask for the full points for the new rank. So if she calls for Sea Zombie for Adept rank, you can turn in 2 (4200 points) instead of the required 3 to get full points, then rank up and then if she asks for Gigant Squid for Veteran rank you can still turn in the full total of 4 fish to get your full points (5680 points).

I hope that makes sense.

You can turn in the difference between what you have already turned in and the new total (if higher). If lower you cant turn any more in.

Any Tips for a fisher starting at level 13 with a Lu Shang's Rod? I was thinking Shall Shellswere nice when I fished and they might not be bad to fish up with a Lu Shangs but it IS a 40 level gap so I might be wrong.

Is there a certain maximum level range where you can hook fish? I went to Bubu to try Shall Shells with a Lu Shangs/Rogue Rig with level 14 fishing (39 lvl gap). 20 casts netted me only Items and monsters, so I just left lol.
