Everything Zelda
He's trucking around Hyrule.
Skyward Sword actually looks a little like Windwaker. Apart from instead of ocean you have the sky.
i feel like playing link to the past now... and maybe TP... and some OoT... damnit where's my wii >.>;
HEY LISTEN!!!!!!!!!1 I don't know anything about Zelda...sad right? BUT my 10yr old son has been playing one of the games on N64 ( I dunno what it's called) and he is having so much fun with it that I've almost been convinced to make him let me play...but he says I'm far too old to understand something so complex...Still, it looks like fun :)

Love the series, but I can't really say I have a favorite. Between the original and Wind Waker, probably. Still play the ones I have to this day, though I haven't been able to afford copies of OoT and MM off of the Virtual Console. Own cartridges of every other game except the CD-i abortions, but haven't beaten Ages/Seasons yet.
Can't wait for Skyward Sword~ Hopefully the 1-to-1 control with the WiimotePlus is actually accurate, that would be fun as hell. Leviathan.Alkalinejoe

I just bought a 3DS yesterday and I'm having sooo much fun replaying OoT. Very tempted to buy Link's Awakening DX from the shop.
Also replaying Wind Waker and I forgot just how amazing that game was. Bismarck.Elanabelle

I like the original LoZ game on 8-bit NES the best. It was this TV commercial that started my lifelong love-affair with adventure/RPG games. P-P-P-PEAHATS!! (Now you're playing with power) Bahamut.Jetackuu said: Bismarck.Patrik said: i feel like playing link to the past now... and maybe TP... and some OoT... damnit where's my wii >.>; HEY LISTEN!!!!!!!!!1 It's a tie between Link's Awakening and LttP for my favorite one.
It's a lot of fun trying to figure out what the sprites in LttP were trying to depict as a kid too, they were especially weird (in a good way). LA sticks out to me because it's like they decided to throw in anything that seemed remotely cool and funny at the time. Chain chomps, Kirby, side-scrolling platforming, flying roosters, Will Wright, goat-women pretending they're Peach, and dreamcrushing. Been playing the hell out OoT:3D and still !@#$ing love this game. I'd have to say I actually enjoyed ALTTP. WW and Minish Cap were great. Awakening was amazing...never got around to playing the Oracle series. Were the only ones I never played. :3
*ducks* Did anyone ever jump off the water fall in Zora's Domain not thinking about it being frozen? .... i did lol
Some artwork from the incredible Katsuya Terada. He did illustrations for LttP and Link's Awakening, among other things for the earlier issues for Nintendo Power. Relevant to FF, he's done stuff for Nintendo Power's coverage on FF4 when it was first released. And even more relevant, this. His stuff is far off-model, but to me, that just makes it even better. A Japanese artist that emulates Jean Giraud's (Moebius') style. ^^ So cool. :p
People seem to dislike Windwaker, pretty much ONLY due to the graphics. The game is very good. i enjoy making my way across the oceans...very relaxing. until a damn whirlpool opened up, or i was attacked by pirates >:

I liked Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks was ok, but again...my least liked thing about those 2 games is the boat/train. Favorite game: A Link to the Past Close to Favorite: Ocarina of Time, Zelda 1, Link's Awakening, and the Oracle games. Least Favorite: Spirit Tracks. I originally hated Majora's Mask. I only ever played beat it once and I was about 13-14 maybe. I thought it was so different from Ocarina of Time when I first played it, I hated it lol. Maybe I should play it again. Majoras mask is overal more enjoyable then OoT, to me atleast, i love the collecting in it. i really hope its gets a re-release on the 3ds as well
Oracle of Ages and Majora's Mask.
Late to the party, but also Redeads still scare the hell out of me. I've been playing TP again, and it's a really fun game with some cool visuals.
Shame about the music though. Valefor.Prothescar said: OoT: 3D is worth every penny and then some. I'd buy the system for this game. I heard they changed the water temple... is this true? If it is then it's not worth a single penny. Ramuh.Sagittario said: Valefor.Prothescar said: OoT: 3D is worth every penny and then some. I'd buy the system for this game. They just made the equipment system easier to manage so it's not a chore to change to the iron boots. Link To The Past for life. Course I can never get the damn wolf songs out of my head from Twilight Princess! Damn you wolfy!

I like all of them, Zelda is probably my favourite video game series. I'd have to rate my top 3 favs in this order
1. A Link to the Past 2. Windwaker 3. Ocarina of Time That said, I'm really looking forward to Skyward Sword. Supposedly the story is about the creation of the Master Sword and leads into the events of Ocarina of Time. Siren.Entrerie

Well i would have to say I have an alltime love for the original and absolute favorite is A Link to the Past for snes.
About half way through Master Quest on the 3DS OoT.
Favorite Zelda title is A Link To The Past followed by Wind Waker. Really wish they'd break up the formula some for future titles or try some things different. I'm really excited for Skyward Sword. a link to the past and ocarina of time are my favorites..to think of it there is not a zelda game i dislike that i can think of
Shiva.Flionheart said: Most people dislike windwaker a lot. Yep, I'm one of those. I just couldn't get into WW. I got a couple hours in, but at that point I was forcing myself to play. I'm just not into that chibi-cutesy face art style. I was honestly a huge Zelda fan(started at the first in '89) up until OoT. I didn't like it and have pretty much not taken the series seriously since. Haven't played TP yet, I kinda want to since it looks a lot more mature than WW. LTTP was amazing for it's time, I was blown away the first time I played it. EDIT: No love for Zelda 2, The Adventure of Link? |
