Dice is going to have a PR nightmare on their hands when they push this game out for the Consoles. Half the Frame Rate, half the Player Cap, but they're only publicizing the PC version... It's not going to end well, mark my words. Inb4 Do ur research before buying the game. The majority of people drawn to these games don't have the attention span for proper product research.
True, but at the same time the console version of Bad Company 2 had the same limitations. Anyone who's a fan of the series at all should know what to expect from prior experience.
People jumping the bandwagon are the ones that will get screwed.

Most people who are fans of the series should also own a decent PC.
I'd say most people who are fans became a fan because of PC versions of the games like 1942, Vietnam and BF2.. I can't speak for everyone but I'm far from a fan of the Console versions of the games, like BC 1&2, they just don't feel complete. If you've never played the PC exclusives, then you're really not getting the true BF experience. BF3 gives the true BF experience (at least on PC). People actually work together.

The Xbox version is going to have 2 disc. 1 for campaign and 1 for MP.
Although it's not for sure still no confirmed date but zh1nt0 (DICE's Community Manager, who seems to like to tease us) might be hinting at the release on his Twitter..
Also, BETA will be MP only... Kinda sucks, I wanted to try out Campaign.
I think you mean Modern Warfare 2.5. The COD fanbase are a bunch of idiots to be honest. The game doesn't innovate at all. MW3 is basically running off a modified Quake 3 engine.
While I do agree it's stupid to go into a BF3 thread to say stuff about Modern Warfare 3, there's no denying it's going to be a great game.
I mean, BF3 has the explosions, but that's all it really has. Explosions and graphics.
It's a somewhat-commonly accepted rule that if Infinity Ward had taken out the crap in MW2, it would have been the best FPS ever released. MW3 is looking like that, plus a lot of completely new stuff.
At this point, you'd be stupid to not get both games assuming you had enough money for both. They're both going to be great games in their own way, and there's no point arguing about it because no one's just going to stop and say "You know what, you've convinced me that I need to rethink my life just because you implied you wanted to rate me down".
See, this was exactly my point. Textbook example of a fanboy in its purest form.
Fanboy!
I played COD
It has a simple formula that is very addictive
but when in the technical field MW2 was refined and look crisp
Black ops and MW3 look like something that came out after Counter strike 1.6 ~
Thing looks so bad
Also I cannot stand the game if i'm playing on my own.
Battlefield on the other hand I can play all day and night
My brother likes BC2 a lot more than I do. I made it to like rank 8 or something and was bored. But that's just me. I'm not saying it's a bad game or anything, just it's not for me. And Modern Warfare's raw gun-skill vs gun-skill mechanic as opposed to people abusing vehicles definitely IS for me.

I'd agree...if I hadn't played black ops...
Gun skill...I laughed at that honestly.
Edit: In short after the majority of the IW staff left and CoD took it's new route it's just them milking the game IMO.

If you cant take out a tank
your doing it wrong!
Battlefield main focus is the team play
That is why you work together with your Squad to complete objectives
Medic, Engy, Recon, Assault!
Work together and wreck everything
(Also just tapping a tank with a tracer, sit on a ammo pack and nail it till it dies, AT mines, motors, run in pull out the C4 and scream derka derka mohammad jihad and take it out and so on)

We all know Black Ops sucked, but that's also not a Modern Warfare game, just like BF3 isn't a Bad Company game.

That's not really my point. It's easy enough to take out a tank but you shouldn't have to in the first place! Giving people tanks and helicopters in BC2 is like giving people primeval brews in FFXI.
Oh, wait.
Now let's say that they can MPK whoever they want with that Primeval Brew up, then that's an accurate representation of a tank in an FPS game. Same reason I hate Halo.
Best part of MW3 is the heli drone...but where have I seen that before.....
In real life?
Edit: Pro tip. Bad Company 2 did not do anything "first". You can't hold it accountable for inventing ideas. So it has a SCAR-L in it, and now MW3 does too. Does that make MW3 a bad game to you?

Except BF3 is supposed to be a battle simulator, and such things exist in real life. MW3 has the whole lone wolf type gameplay and that's why most of them can't play BF3.
Decided to go ahead and make a thread on it since there isn't one yet, and wanted to see who all is getting it?
Well PC version anyways, I hate playing FPS on console, it's one of the few (maybe the only?) genre where playing on PC actually makes the most sense (due to keyboard/mouse rather than controller. Mouse makes for far better reaction times, using a keyboard takes some getting used to though). If you plan on getting it on PC we should hook up in game and pop some heads. :).
I will be pre-ordering it, nothing could stand in my way of getting it.. I'm a huge Battlefield fan, and have been since 1942.
I was actually in a state of shock when I saw that 3 was on it's way.. I hadn't actually kept up on the next/newest installments, and while I love BC and BC2, there's just no Battlefield on console that compares to BF2 (and arguably, no FPS on console period that does).
