It wasn't one of my proudest moments or most prudent decisions, Sev. That's for sure.
The odd thing about Datruthuhate is the very first time I met him, it was in a 3-man shout group to kill Gukumatz just after Scars of Abyssea was released. At that time, he actually presented as a competent, knowledgeable, well-spoken player. So, when I started Vindication up, I had him on my POL Friend List, and actually tried to recruit him into the linkshell. At first, he declined, and I didn't hear from him for several weeks.
Then, out of the blue, he applies to Vindication. Here's an excerpt from his actual application:

I certainly thought this was a weird application, but it was ... original, at least. And like I explained above, I'd had a positive encounter with the guy in-game before.
The player who ended up in Vindication (rather briefly) was definitely not the same person I had met that one time weeks earlier.
So, what happened? I can't say for sure, but either multiple real people use the Datruthuhate account, or it was sold or given away to the current owner/user.

I can understand that. I had nothing against them, but conversations seemed to lack a certain..sanity.

It's because you're a master of the short, clever, neutral response. People that get as much hate as Stanflame or Kuroganashi probably see your neutrality as being "on their side" ... or at least as close to their side anyone dares to go ...
