POL?

I changed my CC to my new bank in January, February auto-payment went through though, so this *should* not be my issue.

I would be a little relieved to at least get this error, I actually get all the way to the Play > message > Play and before the window opens with the "It all began..." I get a message about not having a content ID. I'm not getting any errors about payments so I am left guessing.

They did, however there was probably a goof in enabling April to be free for all customers, basically making the "process" of the billing go through, but letting it not actually charge to your card, which unfortunately has a mechanism to prevent that as fraud thus disabling your account.

It's difficult to explain. Basically the billing process went through, but SE made sure it didn't "charge", but because it is seen as a bank cancellation from POL, it disables your account.

So you are saying SE made one of those "hanging" payment processes (forget what they are called but you don't actually get charged) and then they cancelled, which some banks may be seeing as needing to shut the whole thing down between them and SE. So now SE is not talking with the bank and assumes your CC is bad based on that? Something like...

SE: Hey charge this guy $0!
Bank: LOL, k.
SE: Derp, NVM.
Bank: WTF, GTFO.
SE: Bank? Hello?

Doesn't explain how one account with same square enix ID and CC got cancelled and other is fine :( This process has a 50% chance? lol

haha same more so cuz you spelled out what the *** for yourself and not se, but yea you could log into membership and check to see if id's are active or dia'd...if they are dia'd gonna get charged to activate.

Long story short, the billing process got goofed and went through for some people. Some people got the cue from SE to NOT be charged, but POL doesn't know better and thinks you're canceling a legitimate payment hence the temp ban.

Why am I able to get into POL though while Amael is only able to get to the login part? I get as far as the FFXI screen, I can get to the content ID menu but when I try to review, purchase, activate etc, it gives me an error about that not being an option.

Like you said either way they goofed, not much we can do until they get ***straight I guess.

I dunno, everyone seems to have a different scenario. But then again this is Playonline.

It appears to me (guessing becuase not everyone has explained their full story, that its only effecting players who have made a change to their plan recently (reactivated an ID, deleted one, bought an expac, etc.) could be wrong tho just seems to fit

I didn't changed my account in the slightest. Everything is exactly the same as it was 6 months ago.

I've had an active subscription for 8 years. I changed my payment information recently, and have no expansions bills due.

That may be it.

I have 4 accounts... 3 are fine.

The one that I reactivated in Feb. Now is deactivated due to CC issues... and has a $42 reactivation fee.

All 4 autocharged for march just fine.

idk my friend gave me his info yesterday so i can have a dualbox WHM
at first trying to log in it said he had no content ID

full comp reset, and when i went to activate the content IDs then, it said there was none that could be reactivated

so i hit play and it went thro just fine

i paid for his late fee's just yesterday too
swappin his cc info to mine

"Your account has been closed due to unpadi fees"

ok I did have unpaid fees... cause I forgot to change my cc...

now it wants me to reactivate the IDs... WHICH I CAN'T CAUSE OF SOME *** HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE NONSENSE.

Just unfortunate happenstance.
You need valid, up to date payment information to continue playing on a recurring basis, and maintenance is to assure these things are kept in order. It just so happens you took action during their downtime.

At least you have figured out what is going on with yours. My CC info is correct and has plenty o'money in the account. I'm not getting any messages regarding unpaid fees, just saying I have no content ID still and because of maintenance I can't get to a point to verify which are/should be active.

I just wanna know how 1 account with no mules has a reactivation of $42

I shouldn't have any unpaid fees whatsoever and am still getting the same message of no content ID at the 'play' screen 2 hours later

Which would be nice and all if I could UPDATE IT TO THE RIGHT INFORMATION.

I log in, it says I have to reactivate... click reactivate... log in ... BAM ERROR.
