Japan wants them to save energy because of the reactors yet they have said they will hold 2 football internationals in Tokyo.. surely thats a sure fire way to burn electricity not save it.
I understand that it'll bring revenue, but if nowhere has the supplies to keep going how will they get money in?

Only casualties on my end is inside my wallet. Went out and bought Two Worlds 2 for PS3. I honestly have not bought a video game at full price for 4 years. I love FFXI, never gets old.

I almost died. Then I started downloading bulletstorm and see how it was. Should be done in a few hours. Cant wait. The boredom is killing me...

Im don't know i just think trying to find a new game for one week is dumb. I mean go outside and try riding a bicycle :) Im enjoying the time off. got into Rift now that FFXI's down for a bit, had pre-ordered it but never bothered playing just yet. it isn't bad! really liking the somewhat freeform class system.

Day 2: Laying in bed purging for over 48 hours straight. Always a blast. I get to thank my kids for bringing this wonderful sickness home from school. I can't wait to go on my daily walks again. Should probably start packing soon too. Can't wait to move to my new place ^^

Uhm, I purchased the Steam version of FFXI ultimate collection, same story, had to update/download 20k files(8 hours or so)

Day 1.5: Wow wtf is ffxi still down? Check PoL main page shows maintenance, not surprising. Check forums and zomg down for at least a week. See news reports that it really is a disaster, not a religious person but say a prayer for those affected.
Day 2: Trying to find and install PXI.

Have worked two OT shifts at work and more are coming. Sadly, I would say no to any of it if I were playing. Fixed the damper in the chimney and painted a room in the house which was needed. Havent been this productive in over 7 months and have spent some time with friends throwing back a few cold ones, which i would normally tell, "Im busy".

Just as an update to the servers being down, areas around Fukushima are being told to expect at least 4 weeks of rolling blackouts, with the rest of Japan being asked to conserve power. I think we might find that FFXI will stay down for a lot longer than 1 week at this rate. Toyota have shut down their plants, I would think SE would be one of the last "services" to return to normal under the circumstances.
Not only that but the chance of some real problems with radiation leakage look to be rising sharply, which will obviously cause all sorts of complications.

I was going to reactivate my mule today and purchase the abyssea expansions so I could start collecting stones ;;
I think the general consensus is no one knows but most people think they will.
