The average American has 7-10 hours of screen time per day.

Tv time is down because internet time is up. It's all screen time though.

(Too much work is staring at a computer 8 hours a day)
I stare at my computer for 8 hours a day at work, then stare at the same computer for another ~6 hours a day between work hours and sleep hours lol

Not something I'm proud of, but... that's life, I guess.
How's that meme go?

My job is to look at bad screen for half the day. Then I go home and look at good screen. My vacation is with good screen, because I am tired of bad screen.

I haven't played Forspoken (nor intend to), but given the last few posts on the previous page, I thought you guys might appreciate this picture I just came across.

It's just depressing. The bones of something good are there, but they didn't stick the landing, and the fact that it DOES have so much obvious potential makes its shortcomings more infuriating.

I really wanted to like it, and I couldn't even get all the way through the demo before hitting my "ehhh... I have better things to do" wall.

"I really wanted to like it" has almost become my catch-phrase at this point. I think that's why I just keep returning to my Early '00s games.

I just started the first Armored Core games, in a slow-burning marathon to try and beat them all before AC6 comes out. I played and loved all of the PS2-era ones, but I never did play the PSX-era games, and I never truly beat AC4 or AC5 all the way through. They're interesting games because each generation is super different in both story and gameplay, but everything else stays true to a formula.

That's what makes me excited for AC6. I don't even expect it to be a game that I want to play (see the first paragraph in this post), but FromSoft will probably make a game that's appealing enough to a new audience that it stirs interest in the rest of the series. It's a really cool thought that more people are going to have the endless customization of the Armored Core series at their fingertips.

Distant Worlds was fun. Answers and One Winged Angel were out of this world. Was only me and like 2 other people clapping for Ragnarok tho. That was sad. Also some qt cosplayers.

Yeah. Saw that, and the story of the 30,000 Swarovski Crystals manually applied to her skin, and realized yup- I'm now old.

Guess one has to look at "high fashion" more as contemporary art than anything with function. The goal these days seems to get aggregated due to even bad press rather than to wow with beauty/style.

I'm still sour they didn't play a single XI song when I went. Why is my favorite game so unpopular!

They played Ragnarok in London this year too. A lot of people seemed to love it. Then again, every single piece they did was very well received.

We always get One Winged Angel, but we didn't get Answers this time. Was it Susan Calloway who performed it? We did get Suteki da ne (FFX Moonflow scene with Tidus and Yuna) performed by Rikki though.

Yeah Susan was at this one. They also played a new rendition of Red Wings of Baron and a new battle medley from Uematsu. Was fully sick and I'm honestly considering going to Orlando in March now. Who wants to meet up :^]

Well, I guess there's a reason the 6.3 trial theme sounded so similar to Hyadain's version of the song; he's actually the one that arranged it.

No matter my thoughts on FFXIV, I still regard Answers as a masterpiece. Every element of that song is good on its own, yet combines into something extraordinary.

(Honestly, that entire Bahamut cinematic is really, really cool)

Check any script-blocker plugins you use are allowing the site through. Google translate went through a change a while back and the url for translated pages is different from the normal Google Translate one because of it, so you'll have to let translated pages through seperately.

There are some SUPER gems in the world of Video Game composition, but across the board the genre is straight garbage in terms of musical quality. That's why the real good work stands out so much, and shocks me every time.

The fact that the competition's music in the 90s was so bad really speaks highly for how much care Squaresoft put into those OG FF games' soundtracks. Its one thing to feel the pressure and "step up"....its a whole other thing to just produce great work because its the right thing to do, even when the competition isn't caring worth a damn.
