Rumors say its some kinda online battle royal game. I wish they'd *** off with Fallout for a bit and give some details on TES VI. At least its not another remaster.
There was also a leak back in December saying it would be similar to Rust, which is a bit more believable.

I believe there's been some things saying it's online, but not an MMO so I could see survival building... though from what we can see in the trailer it's set before all the Fallout games we've had thus far. It would be about the same year that the Master came to be which means no or very little super mutants as well... If I remember correctly Vault 76 in Fallout 3 was also listed as a "Control Vault" meaning they shouldn't have had any crazy experiments done on them.

I'm interested but also worried about it all...

It also opened 20 years after the nukes dropped. I dunno much about radiation but wouldn't everything still be kinda radioactive and dangerous? Though I guess the Fallouts aren't known for their accuracy lol I hope its a single player game with optional online stuff. If its all online I will probably skip it.
Somewhat but not necessarily a lot. Material disperses and some of the fission products will have decayed decently. Wouldn't want to hang out there but wouldn't be insta death or anything

I read Fallout 76 is set around 60 years before Fallout. (The first one)

Example: Pripyat. You can actually go there so long as wind isn't blowing and you avoid certain areas. I think even the "elephants foot" has decayed enough within Chernobyl that people can actually enter the room so long as they take the proper precautions.

Funny thing about the elephants foot, since it was too dangerous to enter the room it's in, to take samples of it, they shot it with an AK-47 and raked fragments out into the hallway.

Yeah, its going to take place before all the other games. Its hard to say at this point how the timeline will work since Beth likes to ignore anything that came before Fallout 3 (and new vegas)
Because they aren't Bethesda games.

Is that for one nuke only? There were lots dropped. *** you guys making me want to play Fallout lol
100 can have less effect than 1 so maybe. I mean does the game go into things like yield of each one? Fuel? It's quite possible to cause rather large explosions with rather small amounts of material which gets spread pretty far and wide and people can (and regularly do) take quite a bit of radiation. For example there is a famous stretch of beaches down in Brazil where people frequent that have tons of natural thorium and uranium (enough to make many bombs/reactor cores if you could gather it efficiently) and reach radiation levels a few hundreds times what people get on average.

Yep, and there's been an uptick of activity of the paranormal kind around it. My guess is, the dead don't like their rest being disturbed by having their place turned into a tourist trap.
That would make a lot of sense if ya know ghosts were real
