Byrth, that 6k Rudra's is definitely a critical hit, right?
I mean, there's no mathematical way it could be anything but? So that portion of the Striking Flourish enhancement is pretty much solved?

It's a critical. The Viper Bite test was pretty explicit. Viper Bite has no mods and 1 fTP. The reason it does good damage at low levels is because it doubles your attack. I saw the same damage from Striking Flourish -> Viper Bite as my normal hits / Crits. So either it's a random chance of a modifier that exactly mirrors a critical hit, or it's a crit.

Awesome. I didn't know that Viper Bite worked that way. I never really paid it much mind lol.

Although I do remember way back when I was a nooblet levelling RDM, it was my first time in the jungle and I saw a THF use viper bite for half the mob's HP.

So after that party, I went out and I skilled my dagger.

And then I used viper bite for like 20 dmg.

I was so sad.

..

And dumb.

lol =p That's what made Viper Bite so unique a WS though. For everyone but Thief (with Sneak Attack adding their DEX and AGI as damage), the weaponskill is terrible! It's just a normal swing with capped pDIF. But for THF, it's a Sneak Attack with capped pDIF.

Tried to test Charis Casaque +2, 100TP with only suppa, 100TP with only body+2, definitely more DW than 5% on body+2 ... 10% might be accurate in the end.

OK body+2 is -0.1 and neck is definitely -0.03.

TP return from RF with hands+2 = 100TP with 5 FM.

Good !

Yeah, 10% is the same result I got for body +2. Someone needs to test +1, but it seems no one keeps it very long!

Mercure, could you test 4/3/2/1 Finishing with Hands+2? When I tried to fit a trend to my Finishing totals before for the +1, I got:
Base TP + 15 + (Number of Finishing Moves)^2/2 = TP return

for the +2, I'd predict:
Base TP + 15 + (Number of Finishing Moves)^2 = TP Return

So it would be:

1 Finishing - 26 TP
2 Finishing - 40 TP
3 Finishing - 57 TP
4 Finishing - 87 TP
5 Finishing - 100 TP

Meaning that we can easily self-skillchain with 4 Finishing.

Hi

Just finished +2 body and thought I would go test with Twashter(85), the boost is so nice! Here's one of the higher end procs I saw but majority all over 5k damage. Very nice boost for Rudra's

I was helping a friend on a Fire staff trial in Abyssea - Tahrongi today and I hit 6119 on a black mandy (not piercing weak) at 300 TP with Building/Striking.

Are Black Mandragoras not resistant to piercing or something? Because otherwise it was.

I don't understand. Are you saying they were strong against piercing?

Mandragoras are typically piercing weak, I think. I can move between Blood Bats and Black Mandies in Tahrongi and tell that the Mandies are not piercing weak by my max Crit damage. I haven't bothered to check if they're actually resistant to piercing damage, but I don't think they are.
