On the topic of bloodrose's post, employers not buying enough of something. We run out of cups for water on busy nights and have these shitty backup ones that hold 3 drops of water. Making me refill peoples cups every 10min.

Well i dont hand them water...i place it on their table. I work at a sushi restaurant as busboy. We have started using pint glasses for water recently, and we dont have enough of those either. Pretty sure we have maybe 3? martini glasses while having a full bar.
EDIT: I would give them curafs(sp?) if there are more than 2 people at a table but we only have 5 iirc. with 17+ tables and sushi bar. I have to eat often. I get hungry every couple of hours and can't eat enough to tide me over for longer than that. So when I wake up at 2am, can't get back to sleep, and start feeling like I'm starving and my stomach is cramping up out of hunger, I have to get up and eat something before I'll be able to sleep again. If I don't eat when I am hungry, within a couple hours my stomach will start to cramp up and I'll throw up anything I do eat. (That's super annoying, by the way. Stomach: "I'm hungry? FINE. I'M NOT GONNA HOLD ANYTHING DOWN. That'll fix it!" Seriously? That's the dumbest thing ever. Get with the program, Belly.) and then I'll have to go through this whole rig-a-ma-roll of eating a small piece of toast here, a little bit of soup there, until I convince my body I'm not actually dying and it's ok to hold food down now. I've thrown up over 14 times in a day before because I woke up hungry and couldn't get something to eat in time. I don't know if it's related to my low blood pressure or evolution failed me or I'm just a mutant or what.
This morning I woke up at around 3 from a stupid nightmare, tried and tried to go back to sleep, gave up around 3:50 and came to the kitchen for food, ate a bowl of oatmeal, went back to bed, and still couldn't sleep. Sure enough, it's now 5:30 am and I'm up again eating yogurt and feeling completely empty inside. Not in an emo "my feelings are empty" sort of way, but in a literal "I don't have a drop of food in my stomach even though I ate less than an hour ago" sort of way. I'd really, really rather be sleeping right now. If I could just be a normal person who sleeps through the night and who doesn't have to eat every couple hours, that would be fantastic. ;; The heck is wrong with my guts? And now a sleeve of Saltine crackers. ;; Seriously. What the truck.
You know what ***really grinds my gears? Some of the absolute, most incredily asinine comments people make on news stories.
Quote: Unfortunately Patrick, your 2/10 is more like 9/10. They're are plenty of naive people that believe everything the liberal tabloids say. If you don't believe me, just look what happened in the US election. All liberal media lies and they prevailed, sadly, again. Even problems in the UK are somehow being interpreted and linked to the election in the US. Asura.Bluespoons

I doubt if I'm pregnant, I've been having similar issues since about 4th grade. When I whined about it to my folks, they informed me that the family has a strong history of anemia and hypoglycemia. I'm not sure it's either of those, but it's something to keep an eye on I suppose. As long as I regularly stuff my cheeks, I'll be fine and dandy! (Unless it really is an ulcer. Then I will be back to whine your ear off following my next checkup. Whine whine whine! I might need some cheese to go with my whine. ;;) Lakshmi.Flavin said: » People who continue to talk about the U.S. and how it doesn't use the metric system... volkom said: » people who don't flush toilets and leave the seat up well I don't have that issue at home. but here in the dorms its like ....ick i don't wanna touch that see with my bare hands *grabs toilet paper* Odin.Liela said: » I should be on exile from this thread! *slap self* I doubt if I'm pregnant, I've been having similar issues since about 4th grade. When I was little, we had this cat that was alllllways preggo. We'd take her to get fixed a couple weeks after she had babies and she'd be pregnant again.
If you do get an IUD, Mirena is nice. I had 0 issues with mine and I had it for 3 1/2 years. |
