Ok. First of all, I am glad this thread is here. I've laughed and sympathized a bunch because of it. I'm also glad because there really is just nowhere else to go with this. Here's my story.

Today, February 13th, 2012, at 11:13AM, I was told that there was an error on my timesheet. From December. Of 2010. What happened was that I had inadvertantly marked a 30 minute meeting as "billable" (where we charge the client) instead of "not billable" (where we don't.) Naturally, they actually billed the client correctly, but, we can't have a mismatch of the records in case of audit. So, it's up to me to fix it.

I fix it, and attempt to "approve" it - entering in a password.


And, I cannot fix it. See, unfortunately, my company fails to realize that not only did they give us Christmas and New Year's Eve off, but, that those two days both fell within the same 14 day period. (Because they haven't been six days apart FOR ALL OF ETERNITY.)

My boss, the awesome and patient person that she is, contacted "Corporate." And, lucky for me, Corporate is generous, and they deemed it acceptable to allow those two days to fall when they did.

For ten minutes. I was allowed ten minutes in which I could fix the timesheet and approve it without the error. Seven minutes later, I still couldn't fix it... FINALLY!! It's done!

At that point, it was 11:45AM. Thank God I was able to rectify the (almost) theft of thirty minutes from 2010. And, it only took me 30 minutes (of time that's being billed to the client, naturally) to do in 2012!

tl;dr
I didn't quite steal 30 minutes from a client in 2010. To make everything look nice, I had to steal 30 minutes from a client today. And I've done this exactly as the company wanted me to.

THAT really grinds my gears.

When other peoples' dogs won't shut up. ~.~

That's kind of hypocritical because my two dogs do bark sometimes. They get running around the house and one of them will let out a yip. They get swatted for it. Or a delivery boy will come to the door, pizza or ups or whoever and they'll give out a bark or two until we shush them. And I'm sure that hearing a bark or two is annoying for all my cat-loving neighbors (in my pod of four, 3 of them are catties.)

K, but it's one or two barks, then they get swatted or squirted with a bottle or just told "no" and they shut up.

My neighbor across the street was out with her dog this morning while I was walking my two around for their morning potty time. Her dog had already gone to the bathroom, they were just chilling outside because the lady was smoking. No smoking allowed inside and such. No worries. But as she's sitting there puffing like a chimney, her tiny little yipper mutt is barking his head off at my pups, and she sat there and did exactly nothing. I could barely stand the noise from across the street, I can't even imagine how annoying it must have been for the people inside her building. You know, the ones who were still asleep! ><

Speaking of dogs barking, Liela, never.....never come to this neighborhood. I'm the only one without a dog, and they never shut up :<.

So my story is basically the same as yours. I don't hate dogs, but I hate dogs who bark IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. /relate :3

Finding empty beverage containers in the fridge.

Also, Bruno Mars. I don't know why, but every time I hear one of his sappy love songs on the radio I rage a little inside. xD

People who have to bring their entire family with them to do anything. For example, took my cat to vet today, just before me a family of 7 went back w/ the 8 lb dog so he could get a shot......

When work tells me they don't have hours to give me, then hires more people, then gives them more of my hours. I get another job to make up for the lack, then they tell me they can't give me any hours because of it, even though it doesn't affect my availability with them.
My favorite part is when they wonder why I'm upset. -.-

Music at work. Nothing like hearing Ice Ice Baby, followed by Baby got Back, and then getting Rick Rolled.

Kids that don't know the difference between the "OMG I'M BEING KIDNAPPED!!" and the "HOLY *** THIS IS SO FUN!" screams. Shrieking like a banshee doesn't suggest fun, you little ***.

I'd just show up one day and start working and be like yeah you told me to come remember? Man what's up with this guys memory? then walk off laughing to myself lol...

It was the same with Scorpion Claws and other assorted items back when vclaws were popular.
