You must not have seen the movie "Lost in Space" the robot was supposed to help them but I think someone hacked it and it now its: Destroy Robinson family. >_>

Hmmm, let's see, ah-ha another thing that grinds my gears is how instead of lending a hand people would rather sit or stand in a main town(i.e. Jeuno WG) and sit there. While there are 50+ shouts for people asking for help. . .What the hell, I mean I understand the person pays $13(or more) a month to play, but you'd rather do nothing than lend a hand? Or at least find something to do. {/sigh}

Or there's the opposite. DDs whose job you haven't leveled, but you're damn sure if you picked up the job at whatever level you left it at, you could do a better job than they are.

Figured that out about 40 claims ago. I could just go farm a little more to buy Ochiudo's kote.

Social interactions are overrated anyway. If we were social, would we be playing FFXI for as long as we do?

eh I gave up on that NM a long time ago (0/50+) lol, I finally bought a pair, and sold them later after I got my MNK relic hands. back before they nerfed NPCing items, you could have probably spent the time you did camping, making gil and then buying them =/

tbh most ppl cant do both lol.
For example xboxers cant talk unless they put the controller down lol
which just makes it annoying. Unless you have the mini keyboard attched to the controller, but even that is a pain.

Well the other option is to target first then hit macro, rather than macro first then hit target. But doing it that way, you'd already be casting cure II before you realised you needed cure IV.

People with a brand new PC/Laptop that play FFXI in 800x600 resolution and take screenshots that show pixels.

I'm sure this has been said, but forum trolls, too.

Oh yes, and here's the biggest one: BLU's.

(Nearly)[Had to edit this due to the fact there might be 1-2 good BLU's out there] Every BLU thinks he/she can solo everything in Vana'diel. This comes down to the simple fact that nearly every BLU also has RDM leveled. RDM's think they can solo everything in Vana'diel. Since they most likely soloed both jobs to 75, they suck *** when it comes to parties and any situation where they are not soloing... so they treat the mob like they are soloing and usually die. They then complain about... something along the lines of, "I was out of MP," or "Can somebody voke it next time?" When really they were just spamming spells to do as much damage in a short period of time as they possibly could, like they do when they solo.

It really depends on the BLU....I can solo a lot of mobs EM-Ts. I also know when to take hate and when to not take hate (comes from BLM and RDM, even though I suck at not taking hate, damn my non-resistant magic -.-).

BLUs that run out of MP in parties need to learn that MP is a gift, and to not waste it all on 1 mob.

Besides....I like soloing EP-DC mobs cause I don't have to rest after every fight (sometimes I don't rest for 10 fights, as long as I keep my shadows and only use Head Butt for recasts, and Jet Stream for Fusion). So I know the best possible way to keep MP up as much as possible, and if I get link or aggro with little MP, I know how to keep the MP I have and try to survive without it (which I have done several times, sometimes I get like a whole party of gobbies on me and still win).

I'm blu only, and yes, I die a lot, but not in parties. I die at events a lot more for fun than anything, I have no qualms whatsoever about sacrificing myself for that last damage spike needed to kill whatever.

While I can solo half of Vana'diel, I (usually) know my limits, but am not afraid to push them and try new things... Currently solo-ing my way through Sandy missions, had to admit defeat on 5-1, but have done the rest up to 8-1 so far.

As far as party goes, I partied up to 68 and solo'd most of the rest (I hit 70 3 times solo-ing imps), most of that was on /thf, so if I didn't know how to not pull hate, I'd have died a lot more.

MP conservation is one of the most important things about partying, it doesn't matter AS much for events because you actually get a chance to rest. Luckily everywhere you party in aht urgahn has mobs with MP (Mamool Ja Staging point camp at entrance or outside Mamook suck most, but the rest are good) so you can spam mp drainkiss and magic hammer to your hearts content. In meripo it's only the very well geared DD that out-parse me, so I know how to pull my weight.

And as for solo exp, imps are the way to go, generally I'll kill 3, rest, repeat, which gets me very easy chain 5's and ~11k an hour. A couple weeks ago though I was heading to azouph isle staging point from arrapago reef for some reason, and noticed there were no parties killing imps. Somehow I managed a chain 5 without resting (very proud ^^).

Basically, my point is, you can't hate on blus in general, it's like hating on all sams because some of them like to use Soboro at 75, or hating all rdm's because some of them think that just because they can use a sword, it means they should be allowed to use it.

I love blu because no matter what you're fighting, I can always do something to help.

Something that really gets on my nerves, aside from the obvious..

Hitetsu starts casting Utsusemi: Ichi.
Casting Spell.. 72%
The Colibri hits Hitetsu.
Hitetsu's casting is interrupted.

As soon as I cancel Ichi to put Ni up seriously.. ¬_¬

or even better..

Hitetsu starts casting Utsusemi: Ni.
Casting Spell.. fscking done.
The Colibri hits Hitetsu at what has to be 75%..
Hitetsu's casting is interrupted.

Oh oh oh.. Ninja Edit!

{Party} {Do you need it?}
{Yes, please}
{Gather Together} (F-9)

Get there, wait 10min for RDM.. no reply.
THF pulls a Bird and runs around tower.
(Hitetsu) {Provoke}?
(Some DRG) lol yes
Hitetsu uses Provoke!
The bird decimates half the PT leaving everyone in Orange/Red HP.

RDM comes back.
(RDM) Sorry.. need 3 min more.
RDM vanishes for another few minutes.

few min later
(THF) ugh, wc

10min later..
(WAR) Colibri {Found It!}
Hitetsu provokes the Colibri.
The Colibri dies.

Repeat last stage approximately 6 times.

(SAM) thf afk..?
(Hitetsu) yes
(WAR) {food}
(DRG) ya

WAR continues pulling for 10min..
THF comes back.

[At this point, you'd prolly think all would be well and good >.>]

THF pulls ~15 birds.

(DRG) {Thank you} {Party}
(WAR) {I'm sleepy}
(RDM) me too

...omg what?

...No.. no no no FSCKING NO.

(SAM) {Disbanding Party}?
(THF) war drg and rdm have to go, i think im just going to give up

ok so.. I went out there, got a grand total of 4k exp, and then we had to disband, after wasting close to 1hr doing JACK ALL..

It's not so much that it's FFXI that bugs me, wasting 1hr of my time, that I could be doing something somewhat more productive with, is what bugs me, as I'm sure it is with 90% of the people that play FFXI.

So please, don't try to say that we're pathetic for getting pissy over a game, because most of the time, it isn't about the game, it's more about the fact that people show a distinct lack of respect and common courtesy in a game, that I'm quite sure they'd show to some jackass that walked past them on the street.
