This game is my destiny. I got my G27 out recently and put it to practice with F1 2010 in preparation for the big one that is called GT5.

I'm rather disappointed that Polyphony Digital haven't bothered to do cockpit renders for ever car though, they've mostly just updated GT4's models ¬__¬

Just the premium models right?
I'd imagine it's a lot of work to make detailed interiors for every car when people will be driving the more high end models a lot more.
Even so, some of the the graphics could easily be mistaken for being a photo of their real life counterpart.

Doing over 1000 exact replica cockpit views is a bit too much to ask for, so quite a few of the cars have the same cockpit view as others in their make. (unless you thought all the cars don't have that view, which they do, just not exact replicas of interior design).
Now, the thing I am disappointed in is that of the 1000+ cars, a good majority of them are Japanese cars with over 50 variations of Nissan Skylines, 20+ Mazda MX5's and around 20 Honda S2000's to name a few. So yea not quite 1000 cars which are different.

I find this fairly disappointing as well. I imagine I won't even use the "standard" cars if I can help it. After using cockpit view in Forza 3 and NFS: Shift, I don't ever want to switch back.

I don't own a PS3 but after watching this trailer I'm starting to consider buying one.

Your original slight was the fact that GT is the same as the four before it, well CoD MW2 is a copy paste of other brown shooting games.

But yes Halo and COD. Valve have not come out with any FPS to compete with the big guns since Counter Strike, and that was a long time ago.

Well one could say that Portal and L4D are FPS games, but if that's not the case then I'd personally rate TF2 higher than any game released by Activision or Bungie.

Timesplitters 2 was awesome. That was the only console based FPS I loved lol.

It's a good point. All of my friends used to be on a PC so I was inclined to enjoy the social aspect of that.
