it's only the older skins that were retired. all skins starting the christmas before last and forward will be in the store during their respective holidays. that's why last year you couldn't but haunting nocturne or pumpkinhead fiddle, but you could buy festive maokai at x-mas.

I'll have bad games myself, but more often than not I'm at the very least a positive KDA. Often I just don't feel like I have more impact on the game than the guy who's 0/31, screaming 'GG OUR JUNGLER WONT GANK,' and seems more like a member of the other team.

It just feels like there are more unwinnable games than winnable games lately. I enjoy the game itself, but the community (for the most part), just seems bad. The few games I've actually been able to have fun and play lately (that aren't just normal games with friends), have been very close 4v5s that we end up losing in the end because the other team realizes they can teamfight better than us with 5 people against our 4.
I also don't want it to sound like I'm blaming losses on other people, I'm not (well, partially q_q). I feel like there's more I can do regardless of other people that I'm not doing, so I'm not winning.

HI buddy :D to sum up what to do in that situation is if your adc sucks and you're support then you get all the farm because they're not taking it, if they complain just say you're not taking it and ignore whatever else they say, esp with leona she can totally carry a game XD, but ya in that "Elo hell" you just gotta end up learning to literally be way better than everyone else and a few huge mistakes that people make in those lower tiers is they DON"T TAKE OBJECTIVES lol it's kinda funny but if you can just focus on towers and not really kills (Trades are great even if you just make the enemy go b, at least you will be ahead when they get back)

GG, people don't know how to ward and I got demoted into Silver 4. I'm not making Gold either with these *** morons playing in my team. Not a hope I'll get that Elise skin now either.
Also, f*ck the people who say "if you can't carry you don't deserve to be in a higher league". If people are simply too moronic to understand that good warding and objective taking will win you half the game, then no matter how good you are, you can't carry for sh*t. I am this close to uninstalling the game for a damn long time since I have tried for well over a month and a half just to get to gold from Silver 4.

don't get discouraged tsuji. I took me a whole season to get into gold. I started since the beginning playing rank and landed on silver 1. Then lost a lot... and i mean a lot of game and went down to silver 5. I stayed there for about most of the season. I started watching some streams of people playing LoL. Many of them also gave great advice on how to play solo que on lower rank. As well as my friends would play with me in normals and they would critique my build and my play style always telling me when i would mess up. Then i started playing rank again but this time with more knowledge than i had than the beginning of the season. I notice that all the practice really did help out as well as the stream i was watching. I won many games but also lost a lot. At one point i reach silver 2 and then right after went all the way back to silver 4. But i kept trying and trying until i reached g5. Took me about 1 month of serious non stop rank playing to get there. Many times losing 6+ games in a row. Or when losing 2x a row i would just stop and play the next day. But you can still do it. My friend duo que with me and was a silver 4 about 1 week ago. He is know a silver 1. He is a much better player than me but his team lets him down a lot most of the time. If you want someone to duo que with i can help at nights times one or 2 games. I'm not the best of players but i do well. You can still do it. Alot of time left
Ya, don't lose hope and keep trying, you have nothing to lose. Maybe take a little break and try to find some inspiration through streams or various forum posts, or play some normals to get some fresh air.
Just had a duo queue bot lane that lost to a troll bot lane with nidalee/kayle. The other bot lane "shared" farm and both of them still had more than our ad-carry. They then complained that I didn't gank enough when I had the only wards on the map. ;_;

Well, they weren't a duo queue (according to lolnexus) and kept yelling in all chat. Caitlyn also outranges both of them and Nid spears are way too slow of a skillshot to be getting constantly hit by them.
eh, unless they were pushed up to thetower, i would of blamed the jungler too. granted that's a hard gankt o pull off. cat form + kayle ult. plus, kayles heal gives movement speed buff and she can aoe auto attack to clear waves. if it was me i'd push to the tower and let nid lob spears while they tried to farm at tower.

Maybe camp mid/top, mid the most, try to setup a double gank with mid so that you wipe bot for sure, or at least half of it.
Other than that, I wouldn't have tried to gank bot unless they were shitters, it would have been suicide considering this cait can't poke them (cait can poke from further than both of them and through minions, unlike them).

I can't *** believe we won this. I made a play I'd boldly call "pro" just because it worked so fast and turned the game hard against all odds.

Oh, and another thing. I am far less of a baddy at least in relation to warding. When you look at the world championships, they always ward at level 1. So you can avoid ganks and invades, right?
Well, ever since I saw that, I have been warding at level 1 as well. And it has helped tremendously.
But if I am playing with the type of guy who goes mid, doesn't buy 1 ward all game (come on now, don't lie, you have played with them too), and screams "GG OUR JUNGLER IS NOOB" because he goes 0/3/0 because he got "camped", then I am sorry, I am the better player and they are not. It's as simple as that. If they can't be bothered to ward their own lane in a game like this, then they are baddies.
Which is why I am changing my role priorities this time. Jungle and Support will be my main, and can also Top lane if I gotta. With Jungle and Support, I will have more access to parts of the map where I can ward. I love it when a jungler wards, so I do it myself too now.
But I do think I will give up trying for Gold before the end of the month. 15 days is far too little time, considering I can only play about 4 or 5 matches in total during the weekdays, and a few more in the weekend. I'd have to basically win every game if I wanna hit it up to Gold. :/

You can always train and up your MMR so that you get gold easily next season, so it's not a waste of time to keep trying for Gold.
Also, you should really try to 1v5 (9). At your level, you are literally surrounded by people doing their placements, people who got carried in their placements and finally people who are in Gold and don't give a single ***about their MMR. To sum up, at your level, the odds are so much against you that if you aren't literally good, you will not climb.
