I wouldn't wonder how udyr fares top lane (normally well) more how he does late game chasing down a Blue Ez, or Ashe, or an adc with a support with peel :(

I love udyr but hate that its so easy to just deal with him now

he's pretty strong, just that he can be cc'd kited easily however I think maybe with ghost (not sure if you'll take it or not) you can pretty much catch up to whomever you want. I think maybe the only exception would be a blue ez but in open field it shouldn't be that bad as trying to chase him through a jungle when he can hop over walls

Most top laners have an escape by level 2 or even worse, that's when they are the strongest.

I wonder how it fares against say, Renekton, Wukong, Jayce or Elise.
This one was quite a while ago, before the red pot nerf even. I don't think they did anything to Udyr's Tiger Stance since though.

Just shows the early damage it can do when in the right hands.
If you don't fancy that one video, there should be others as well which show how strong Tiger Stance is early on.

I do have to agree though, late game I don't know how well Udyr does with Tiger Stance. I have never played as Udyr for that length of time, and most Udyrs I see go jungle it up with Phoenix Stance. He *is* easily subjected to poke though, that does suck about him. :( If you can't go balls deep, you can't do much.

There is a guy, forgot his name something with "2", who plays Udyr top exclusively and dominates rather well.

Forgot if it's a pro player or simply a high elo player, but ya. Basically the guy was explaining that stacking tenacity and exploiting tiger stance was the key to have an impact even in lategame.

That being said, he didn't mention anything regarding blue X.

They went for base Udyr rather than a mix of all 4(5) for his Splash.

Wow, Spirit Guard Graves Udyr looks like a total bad@$$! :) What a neat skin!

But he talks smack to poor Rammus...he doesn't deserve that. ;_;

But I guess after soloing Baron you have the right to talk smack to anyone, maybe. :p

Played a bunch of Udyr in the last couple days and still think he's really weak. There are so many slows, by the time he gets to anyone, he's half dead.

Even with max tenacity and those slow reduction masteries? I really want this skin but i never play him, so must learn. He only works with a hard engage support or jungler so you're free to bum rush the carries in the chaos me thinks

Yeah, your best bet is to just babysit your carries.

I really want the skin too, but I thinkUdyr still needs some changes. Make bear stance a full out dash or something, I dunno.

Depends on what you're playing, in all honesty. If you're talking ARAM, Udyr generally gets crapped all over. In Summoner's Rift, he can be a force to be reckoned with depending on the enemy team. He is a decent jungler and can bring a decent gank. However, I do agree, he really needs some sort of rework as a melee before I worry about this skin.

Given how often someone shoots up something in the states, it's probably not a good idea to make a joke about it. Even stil, this is ridiculous.

Just make a smurf so you can enjoy low ping, unless you have friends there then just transfer your main I guess.
That's how I did with EU, but I'm considering pumping it in order to climb ranked whenever I have progressed.

Talking about progress, is anyone up for some typically top/mid matchups 1v1? I am trying to get better at Wukong through several trainings but I noticed that I lost a lot of dueling habits in favor for some marginally better CSing.

I'd be up for some lengthy session of 1v1s either on EU or NA if anyone wants to practice.

Until then, I'll be practicing CSing in custom.

Oh also, for those using elophant client and wanting even more info, you can try kassad.in once the game has started. It gives info such as the average hidden MMR of your and the enemy team and other information such as their complete lolking summarized.

I'd love to help you practice Wukong, Senkyu! Will send you a message on the client when I am around :)

Played ranked today as first pick and ban. I wanted to jungle, and decided I was gonna do my best to jungle as Malphite. But I expected they would ban him, as they usually do. So I was expecting to go as Xin Zhao since I know they usually ban Malph.

Except that they didn't this time.

I've noticed in rank that champions that are considered "OP", that aren't banned and capitalized on.. generally do poorly. My thoughts are they think that because the pros use them, they're OP and therefore the player is OP for playing that champs. In reality 0/10/1.

Well yes, that's a fact, stats can't lie.

Up to Gold, the bans are the same. They're made of stuff that people deem OP, uncounterable and so on. I believe Amumu is the only exception with a high winrate, not sure though (54% last I checked at 1200 elo), the rest is either below 50% or at it, making them average.

The bans in pro matches aren't to be taken into consideration because most of the bans are targeted at a specific player. Then you have the eternally godly champs in high level like Twisted Fate, these champs will always be perma pick/ban at high/pro level.

Lately I've seen bans around gold be TF, Zac, Thresh, Draven, Shen, and Hecarim

TF and Thresh seeming to be the priority bans

This is just speaking from personal experience

I've seen TF and Thresh bans, Shen is always in my banned list. Such an annoying champion... also hate Thresh with just as much fury. Sometimes I find him even worse than Blitz. :<

Do agree with what Glaciont had to say. But for me in my situation, I don't think its cause I think Malph's OP. I think he can be a game changer at any point your ult is up, and he can gear really well against AP and AD users. I know how to use him quite well in the jungle. He suffers the same issue that other junglers do. If your team mates don't capitalize on your ganks or do not coordinate well with you, Malph simply falls behind and has just as much of a hard time catching up as anyone else.
