Best. ***. Movie. Ever. Pantheon Trivia: Many of Pantheon's quotes reference the movie 300. (duh) *Pantheon's taunt references a scene in which King Leonidas kicks a Persian messenger into a well. *Pantheon's jokes are a reference to when King Leonidas asks his Spartan soldiers what their professions are. *One of his quotes, "They will not enjoy this!" refers to when the Queen Gorgo kills Theron during the council meeting near the end of the movie. Udyr buff!!!!
He dashes at enemies with his E now, or at least on the PBE so far Gap closers for everyone!
The changed his passive too, but nerfed his turtle so it doesn't return mana anymore

Getting used to putting Lee Sin top lane. He's not as hard to play as people make it out to be so far, I think. Very fun champ though, I do like playing him. <3 me some AD bruising off tank. Forgot to say night! Sorry. Had to leave.
Haha, I'll have to try this. Been playing Pantheon lately, didn't try AP yet.
Oh sure, sure! Don't ban Alistar in Ranked and make me go support!
COME ON LET'S SLAM, AND WELCOME TO THE JAM, COME ON LET'S SLAM, YOU, YOU WANNA JAM! Also, teaser art for possible leona skin So far, karma rework and updated art along with new art for sejuani and trundle (gameplay upgrade too for trundle). Also as the default splash and in game skins are being upgraded, if you own the champs before the re-work you get the old skin for free if you want the classic look, a trend Riot has been doing since re-doing karma. Just sharing if people haven't heard of all the goodies coming, {exciment}. Offline

Just had a rather entertaining game where my team started with two disconnects. I as Bankplank went to fill the ADC role, thinking we had only lost Ezreal, until it became evident Ziggs was missing as well. By the time everyone returned, nobody cared enough to actually bother switching lanes, so we ended up with Ez/Cho top, Taric mid, GP/Ziggs bottom.
Which somehow managed to work extremely well. Ended 19-4 or 19-5, I believe, one death being to trying to solo Baron, with what would have been a quadra kill on the enemy fountain had Ez not taken a pair of them from me. And now I'm wondering why I ever stopped playing Bankplank. Bankplank is an awful idea and Gangplank can't fulfill the role of adc at all either. =\
Might seem like an awful idea to you but it seems to have worked for them :O
It only works if the enemy team allows it.
Back in S2 bankplank was decent cuz of the amount of gp10 items that were available. But its kinda meh now especially with how broken some of the items are now. Its much better to actually get items towards the main build instead of going out of the way to make gp10 items.
not saying what the guy did was very good just that~ just things have changed Fenrir.Stiklelf said: » Might seem like an awful idea to you but it seems to have worked for them :O Bankplank is and always has been a noobtrap. Back in season 2, the only item you should have built is HoG, and in season 3 you could potentially do avarice blade if you're going to build a shiv. Buying gp5 items to sell them before they even break even is hurting you. Offline

I'm well aware that it's nowhere near as efficient as it used to be, but beginning with Philosopher's Stone for lane sustain and hitting Avarice blade second, in my opinion, is worth the trade-off, considering the Stone is going to net a few hundred gold more than it's worth before you sell it back, and Avarice upgrades into Ghostblade, which is a component of the completed critical build I use.
On GP10 cost versus benefit, I'll agree, there's no sense in buying GP items only to sell them back if you're making late purchases that won't net gold you from the deal. Kage's serves no purpose to Gangplank considering its cost, though a first-buy Philo tends to net around 900-1000 gold, depending on how your game's going, and also allows you to stick around and farm for longer periods of time before going back to base. As for playing "ADC", I suppose I could have phrased that better. It was less that I was actively filling the role so much as we simply decided to disregard the meta at first out of necessity, and then out of apathy. As my main damage in tradeoffs came from Parrrley, I was able to harass well enough while still not falling too far behind in CS with the help of Ziggs to finish a handful of kills before the laning phase ended. Either way, I'm content with the build, and how I'm able to play it. YouTube Video Placeholder

essentially Gangplank himself isn't that strong right now, and you shouldn't be building Bankplank, or critplank you should be building Tankplank and should ALWAYS have a Iceborn Gauntlent Carryplank doesn't work because he's melee, so you need the tankyness or you're going to die very easily Offline

That would depend on your playstyle, I suppose.
In terms of Bank versus ordinary play, I'm really seeing no reason why not to pick up the Philo and Avarice, assuming you're going to be playing conservatively early game and upgrading the Blade when you're finished, due to the Philo's net gold income and lane sustain purposes. As for Tank versus Crit/Damage, if you charge face first into the enemy without stacking defense and health, then yes, you will die. But with enough AD behind your shots, an Infinity Edge, and a couple more crit items, I've never seen keeping a bit of distance during crowded fights as problematic. In situations where fewer enemies at a time are to be dealt with, closing gaps is simple enough with Plank's E and W, should it be necessary, and I find that built properly, he doesn't often lose damage races. Regardless, I hadn't originally posted to argue the superiority of one build over another, simply to note my successful return to a build that has ever, in my experience, been successful. No that would be the way the champ fits into the meta.
The problem with carryplank is that you're playing the role of a strictly worse ADC. If you're trying to keep distance with parley as your only form of AA then you're attack speed is essentially 1/5 attacks per second
and if you're playing Bankplank and you don't get all 3 GP/10 and you don't use utility tree or GP/10 Runes you're doing it wrong well you're doing it wronger than wrong since bankplank does not really work this season |
