I think Darius needed a little more practice, but it's easy to say when I can see player positions.
But yeah there's a lot of stuff that comes with just playing a lot of games. "I shouldn't stand around here with 40% health because there was just a team-fight and I don't know where 3 people on the other team are, so I'm an easy target." It's not champ specific and it's not really possible to teach someone that kind of awareness. They have to just die a lot, and it comes.

I had 2 friends from texas in town last night, & they wanted to see a little LoL. we had been drinking, & I started a match to kind of show off the game. well me being drunk & a loser for a helper on top ended up with me feeding an Alistar & the chick with the daggers to the point where I was throughly embarassed. right around that same time (bout 12-12:30 mnt) they decided they were too tired & ready to go to thier hotel. so I had to alt ctrl delt & walk them out, say goodbyes ect.
If that was the same game, I'm sooooo sry, I usually stay weather I'm playing like *** or not.
Mind blown, I only had a couple wards out and teemo complained about it, so I sucked it up and delayed shurelya's to get a stack of wards.... filled up a stack every time going back and kept using them. We somehow won. o.O

O good, I felt like a jackass. I just got Darius with IP, I've been having a hell of a time pre lvl 6-7 >.< gotta get used to the champ I guess.

I probably buy upwards of 30-40 wards in a long game as support. The "support isn't the only one who should ward" mentality is correct, as proven by the Koreans, but since NA people don't ward, I rather win games than lose because no one is warding.
PS: Never buy Athene's grail on Sona, or support in general unless it's a last upgrade.

it's more that if you just buy ward after ward you fall behind in your build and it ends up hurting you more than anything
When I support I probably get around 20 or so wards a game if its a short game and sometimes more depending on the situation

It was my last upgrade, but why is that a concern?
You have a Heart of Gold. And you should really never buy it as that's 3k gold that can be used on a good support item, or really any aura/support item.
Oh, I can see how near-indefinite mana sustain is useless
