League of Legends
it's just a funny guide, check it out for the laughtastic part D:
He had me at: "While it is true that Taric is classified as a support champ, since when does Riot ever know what the hell they are talking about when it comes to League?"

Attempting to learn how actually, i just suck at it atm Just curious, why do people actually say that mobafire sucks? And why prefer other sites like solomid or lolpro? I think there are some good guides on mobafire which I personally benefited from. So why do some of you guys think mobafire sucks?
Made a custom bot game to learn jungling, found a few guides and used the tips and builds they suggested.
Here's the result: MUCH better. My last game with Nocturne I was 6/7/8. The only problem with doing custom bot games to practice is that custom bots are very weak, weaker than beginner bots.
It's good for getting a feel for how a champ's mechanics work or jungling order, but can't really gauge the kills off of it :/ I've only played Nocturne once, so I can't help with builds or anything, but it looks alright to me :P Asura.Dameshi said: » The only problem with doing custom bot games to practice is that custom bots are very weak, weaker than beginner bots. Seems fun, I'll try it again later in a normal bot game. Most of the top rated guides aren't very good. They're based on fun builds rather than optimal builds.
There are also a ton of just complete crap guides. Usually all on Solomid are at least viable. Some of the advice I see in guides makes me so sad :( The biggest thing about jungling is getting a feel of when and where to gank. Also counter jungling, but that's later, and depends on your champ as well.

If you really want to improve your game, the best way to do it is to watch streams of high-tier players. Scarra is one of the best to watch in my opinion for learning purposes because he will explain why he gets certain items or why a team fight went the way it did. The second best way is to record your own games and analyze your mistakes. Although, this is usually for more experienced players who understand competitive play very well. One last bit of advice - play every champion at least 5 times. You may not like some champion play styles. You may think you know some champions without ever playing them. But trust me, there is a LOT of knowledge you can gain from playing the champions yourself. Knowing cooldown timers and passives can make a HUGE difference in the way you lane against someone, and laning is often the biggest determination of the outcome of the game. Oh and one last thing... every time you lose or win, no matter why, think about what you could've done better. Nobody ever plays a perfect game. Even if they go 30-0, there are still mistakes made. You may lose because a teammate trolled. There are still things you could have done better. TLDR - guides are really for beginner players. Wanna get better? Watch streams. I think it's pretty good, it gives an idea about how to play Riven against a lot of top champs. I could be wrong about how good it is though, I just reached 30 and I am still not very good at LoL :/ You guys got me wanting to try Riven, so I hopped on the PBE where I own her and am now playing a game with her.
Currently 12/1/2 11 minutes into the game. EDIT: Match over. First time Riven. Pentakill at the end. Yes yes clarity, blah blah, didnt know how she worked. i really think LoL should have it's own subforum ._.

I guess you're right, I've only looked at the list when I was first added.
But I don't see many people posting in here. Seems to be the same about 5 people.
