i don't think its bad advice, I think saying it beats doran's always is a horrible thing to say though

then i apologize for being rude. the only time id use dorans over shoes is in a heal lane, but when you think about the pros and cons
the cost/hp ratio of hp pots, and the horribly low life steal of dorans seems like a pretty easy way to tell whats better. if youre auto attacking to get hp back, youre pushing a lane. and to heal the hp a couple of pots could heal thats a LOT of autos.
@ MF dude, should drop the attack speed runes for armor ones, MF has a 50% attack speed steroid.

whatever floats your boat, but i find the dorans helps a bit more if you end up engaging anyone

i was always under the impression that armor pen was better than flat ad
Last time I read up on it, it did more damage, but as I have said, I run flat AD for last hitting.

My first "unofficial pentakill"... 1-2 seconds too late on the last kill all because I forgot to use my gunblade to finish off Garen until I had chased him a bit.

I wanted to save up for Varus but Hecarim seems pretty cool :/ wat do.
Hecarim solo's baron... like childs play... *lvl 18 with full build or damn near it.* I did it while they were in a team fight and I was like.. well I'm having fun.. let's try baron.. next thing I know... ACE after I got baron. The other team was like... WTF?! HE SOLO'S BARON?! HOW LONG DID THAT TAKE YOU WTF?! Didn't take that long.
Can't most fed AD champs do that?

my god after this game i wanted to shoot myself. it lastd 63 mins, and the first 30 mins my team score was 20 to 42, them ahead by 5 turrets. took having to go balls to the wall to beat 5 snowballed wingnuts. especially a voilbear with 5k hp, ohboy that was fun. 
teammates losing for you? better nerf irelia.
@nook, most fed ads and some aps can do that easily, fiddles can do it when he spawns with blue if he doesnt get caught. heimer can too, as can shaco.

Yes/no His W is pretty crazy and keeps him in the game. Plus I build him kinda tanky anyways so I didn't have a ***ton of dmg like most did. I have 2 ways I'm trying him out build wise.
Full AD - BT, Boots of Swiftness, IE, PD, TF, Maw of Malmortius (helps his late game Q out a lot too which I find drops off late game if you build him the next set)
Tankish/Sustain - TF, wiggles, boots of swiftness, legion, SV, PD
They both work well, (I prefer option 2 more often just cause glass cannon AD doesn't work well unless you got the right team) 2 will I say also help in general sense keep you in team fights as a beneficial matter. I have yet to try a AP tankish (think amumu kinda). I think it would be fun, but Idk how beneficial it would be. I would also need to build complete different runes to compensate for that AP playing style on him.

Yes Ik but I'm talking in general.. he has no issue with that at all. Even when he's not full build he can do it without having an issue.
