I usually do an AI match or 2 until I get the hang of their skills and timing then take it to normals.

jungleing woes:

So I was playing a smurf match with some friends of mine and I picked rammus because, I know hes a good ganker for jungleing and it seemed like a good idea. I go with my WW jungle pattern and find a: he doesnt keep his health up like ww and b: hes not nearly as fast with the kills (also probably partly due to it being on a lvl 1 smurf).

I say in chat "b'ing and ganking top" as I come in, I ping it twice, once on the champ, and once on myself to show it was me and im coming. I get into the cross bush and find ww was waiting in it for a gank. I ping 3 times as I fight off this ww (I was winning btw) as I watch, about a second into my fight, the Kat who was solo top begin to b with 3/4th hp. So I ping frantically only to watch her ignore me completely. I get away with 1 bar after the rammus (their solo top) comes down and beats on me. They tower dive me, getting me killed, but getting me a kill on rammus. Fortunately, mid wasnt deaf like top and had decided to come top due to the mass pings and picked up WW.

Then, later that game, I go to gank bot, where both of my friends sitting in the other room are playing. For some reason, I can hear them fine, but me yelling doesnt even get their attention. I was just finishing blue as I saw ryze show up in my ward I placed for them and dragon (in between dragon and bottom bush). So, I ping it like 3 times and start yelling "ryze is coming! get into position to gank ryze! get ready! ryze incoming!!!" only to watch them push bottoms lane right onto turret. as I power ball directly into ryze as he proceeds to wreck my face because he was mid and I was still only level 5 (I had just gotten it from blue). I got away with like 2 bars though (powerball is awesome).

This all happened within the first like 7 minutes and the other teams WW jungle was 7 when I had just hit 5 -.-

Sometimes, jungleing is awesome, but sometimes people are to busy blasting music to hear pings...

Rammus jungle isn't that great til you can go down into the def tree and get that one mastery that deals dmg back to minions. That + defensive ball curl = fast clearing.
