The maximum playtime a player could have so far is 3622 days, though with maintenance and the month FFXI was offline it would be closer to 3500~3550 days.

I am willing to bet that Atoreis spends a lot of their time AFK somewhere overnight or most of the day while they do something else. I don't find that to be very unusual for players to do and does not make them addicted to the game for doing so.

You can play casually and afk in a spot you enjoy stopping at everyday which adds up over time. I personally have many spots I enjoy AFK'ing at: Leremieu Lagoon where the black dragon swoops down everyday at the exact same time over the lake, and at Blueblade Fell with 0 fomor hate. I also have a spot inside Tavnazian Safehold where if you sit down on the 2nd floor in a certain spot and look up at the ceiling the hole in the roof looks like a heart /o/

You can't tell anything about a player from their play time unless you actually know them.

That's actually from 6 years with 1 year break. I was in 3 relationships during this time ( in RL yes and with RL girls yes ^^b ). I would guess half of this is afk. It's a lifestyle I chose because I really enjoy playing not because I'm addicted and I have not regret a single moment spent with this game. Peace ;)
