It's been suggested that this is a chat log error. What happens is someone whether it be an enemy or a player has a Resist Trait activate (Resist Poison, Resist Sleep, etc). The chat log filters out the line that is being Resist! and appends the Resist! to the next line displayed.

Not sure if that is in fact what happens, but more than likely its due to having filters set.

Ive had that happen when i was curing someone, it was"Resist! Foxxy starts casting Cure # on <soandso>" no idea what it means
