k, I've been asked alot about this project so here goes...
I can't cover every detail here but the materials used is MDF, Plywood, cardboard, polystyrene, cloth, matchsticks, toothpicks, paper, scenic grass and trees which I simply cudn't make myself so I had to buy them from a model shop. The final model included small mirrors for the chocobo tunnels and an open portcullis on the archway.
Furthermore, this is my first attempt at anything like this. Apart from the grass and trees.. this is completely built from scratch using my skill with pencil drawing and nothing but in-game graphics for reference.
I've uploaded a 7min video on Youtube showing mainly the progress of making this.
