Attempted 3 synths and failed all three, so I would put the smithing requirement easily above 25.

These are very easy to make. Just FYI. I have alch at 87 with smithing 45. 12 attempts and only 2 HQ to stack of 99, one fail ><, and rest all 33. My guess is the smithing cap is pretty high to.
