Skip the NQ and take this period. This will last you up til 71 when you get your Dura as PLD. Keep your Machau handy though if hate control is a problem.

I personally use this on my PLD at 66 and it's a serious upgrade over anything else at this lvl for a DD tanking PLD. Macua can be skipped rather easily imho. Although it looks great for kiting.

It's a solid weapon choice for PLD for the long period from 66 on where DDing weapon options are exclusive finds which take time to get.

For the people who need a good weapon for Maat fight, I'd suggest this if you don't have the privilege of Joyeuse from another job that can use that sword.

Other then that for tanking purposes in a party I'd say Macuahuitl +1 for the enmity + cause you wont hit a damn thing unless you sub out your regular tanking gear for acc and str

Even with Joyouse I use Espadon +1 often, especially when kiting during Dynamis. The VIT+ when you aren't DD'ing is a bonus.
