need to release DN 64 to XBLA D:
like PD for online
DN64 was just Duke Nuke'em 3D with a lot of Nintendo-Requested censorship. There were a few secret Levels that were different, and a few different weapons (Missile Launcher instead of RPG, and the Plasma Cannon instead of Freeze-Ray)but overall, they were pretty much the same.
For those that don't know, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil had this weapon called the "Cerebral Bore" That fired a homing missile that bored into your skull and detonated, giving the victim a few seconds to contemplate the series of mistakes that had led him into this situation.
CoD has team killers halo has modders dont think it will ever change :/
Other way around actually, there are youtube channels based around team killing in Halo, and everyone I run into on CoD talks about modding. Just look at the leaderboards, all modded. Not to say that Halo doesn't have modders, of course.
Games that defined the FPS in my mind: 1. Half Life series 2. Unreal Tournament 3. Quake 4. Counter Strike 5. TFC 6. Battlefield 7. CoD2 8. Goldeneye 64 9. Timesplitters series 10. Duke Nukem series I *** hated Deus ex, just putting it out there.
Agree with this pretty much, you missed castle wolfenstein though. And F.U. over Deus Ex lol but each to their own.

Oh well that makes sense then. A lot more modders on CoD than Halo for sure though.

Yeah. I remember that mod where everyone had unlimited ammo and didn't have to reload.
Noob-toob frenzy for an AC-130, which would wipe the map constantly.

Fortunately when that happened I was playing something else, I think ODST to get firefight achievements for my friend. Which was undoubtedly fun as hell

No System Shock 2 either, That created the FPS-RPG Hybrid.

I'll admit - it was amusing as hell. After awhile it got boring though, since it would either boost your K/D up a ton or drop it to the ground, so people got pissed off.
hell i started a month or 2 before they patched the javelin glitch i was mainly referring to halo 2* modders really as well
Now that glitch was soooo lame. I got paranoid to kill anyone within 10 feet of me, lol. Glad I'm done with that game now, hell knows what's happening now...

Yea also forgot Bio/system-shock, XIII, star trek voyager lol hmm mebe not, MOHAA, original AVP, red faction,
XIII was incredible (not the FF >.>) I never liked Bio/system-shock lol.
Played short demo of bioshock didnt like it I dont remember system shock all that well, just thought they deserved a mention as I know they scored highly across most review sites / magazines.
Bioshock had some of the best water visuals I've ever seen however.
Bioshock had a very powerful story as well, and also serves as a great example, along with other games like Shadow of the Colossus, of games as an art. Bioshock had actually some of the weakest FPS elements though. Boring weapons, minuscule or non-existent difficulty.
Still, I easily recognize it as one of the better xbox360 games, and still one of the best games of the generation.
