As for pronunciation, I say "Booj"

FFXI is heavily dependent on two things only; Time and gil. To make gil you need time... so i guess you could argue it's only dependent on one thing if you so desired.
Communication should actually play only a slight role in the success of a group anyways.. the players should know how to do their jobs. Anything that needs to be known can easily be transmitted by a /l or /p macro.
