I unfortunately never grew up with it, yet it was also the game that really got me into RPGs. I remember coming home once from hanging out with a friend and asking my mom if I could have it. But I didn't know what it was called, and tried describing it. At the time, I didn't even own any platforms on which to play it.

Still, Yasunori Mitsuda is a genius, and the music still hits me in the feels. I was actually going to post this song the other day, but by the time I got a chance to I forgot...

That's one of the best. I've heard a lot of remixes and never found anything better than the original Magus battle theme. I did find a good Corridors of Time remix though if you want a more relaxing feel. This was back when OC Remix and midi were all we had as mixes:

Back in 2005, a composer who goes by Dimrain47 came up with this masterpiece. I don't think it was ever actually used for a game, but it would definitely fit in one.

I saw someone shared the Baten Kaitos battle music here, but just that 1 track isn't enough lol. The OST is amazing ^^
This one is one of the town music. If I were to liken it to something in the FFXI OST, it'd be slightly like Ru'Lude Gardens but more upbeat.
(in case the video is ever deleted, soundtrack is called Tenkai Flower Temple)
