If a Ring says it has +5 Water and I am using H2H weapon as a MNK, no magic, do I receive any of these elemental benefits in battle if mob is weak to it? Or do I _only_ get to use the +5 Water if my weapon offers water elemental damage? Like the Hydro Claws, for example?

It's an elemental buff against water spells that are casted on you. Like barwater/a.

yea, the +5 water would mean you resist water that much more. doesnt give any type of dmg only resistance to water.
