Looks like a lot of people are having good weekends so far. I finished reading "The Amber Spyglass" today and it was fantastic. I strongly recommend the His Dark Materials series to anyone looking for a great story and easy read.

Oh god, NEVER drive near DC! lol, no one knows how to drive there, no matter where they're from and that place is like one big traffic jam. I'm not a fan of VA drivers either lol.

Got home last night from my trip to Idaho to see my honey badger.

So I just read another thing about gay violence.
This 19 year old got beat up by a large group of men, all in all he is fine now.

What I don't get is this; one of the people in the group threw a bottle at him, hitting him. His reaction was to turn around and start throwing punches at this group of at least 3-6 people.

Like yea I get that it's a horrible thing but why would you even try to fight back when you could have just got in your car and left/reported it.

What did he think the outcome would be? That he the guys friends would just let the two of them fight? Common sense needs to come into play at some point.
(I'm sure I might get a rate down or two, but if he didn't try to go after the guy he could have been better off. Then again they could have chased him down, but I highly doubt that.)

I agree with you on that, sometimes you just have to walk away and ignore the problem.

Fighting doesn't really solve anything.
