Grrrrr. Good afternoon everyone. Hope all is well.

My day so far effing blows. It's cold and rainy outside, and although I normally love rain it's also very windy -_-. I just finished my JP test and it was totemo muzukashi (very hard). This has put me in a fairly foul mood, as JP was one of the classes I really enjoyed/was doing well in. On top of all this, I'm stuck on campus until about 9:30 tonight, because I have a 7 - 9 class and I commute 40 min each way.

Anyone have some cute (ie: furry/chubby/you know the drill) pictures to cheer me up? :(

>.< figured i'd vent some too. between my cat and my bf i couldn't do any homework. my cat is like dying, half of his jaw is extremely swollen and hard. he can barely eat. his saliva is disgusting smelling and so thick he has to smack his mouth around every once in a while because it's stuck together. he can't even close his mouth anymore. he's also getting senile and peeing all over himself and shitting everywhere. but my mom's all "NO! WE'RE POOR! NO VET UNTIL DAVID (step dad) GETS PAID!"
then my boyfriend has a metal pin in his knee and metal plates in his leg from an injury a long time ago. since it's starting to get cold out he's getting extreme pains in his leg and not much can be done about it :( but still his boss is all "NO! YOU'RE A PUSSY! WORK!"
just felt like sharing my woes D:

someone needs to get that cat to the vet, stat. >.> from what i read, i am fairly certain of what the outcome will be, and as unfortunate as it is, the cat is probably better off.

last night my car nearly escaped certain death when a violent storm upended several 100 ft tall trees around our complex, one of which landed 3 inches away from my beautiful darling. did not want.

nooooooo D: i've had him since i was 4 and he hasn't been allowed out of my room for 4 years ;-;
if my mom doesn't take him tomorrow, i'm probably gunna walk him there and my mom's gunna be like "we're poor" and i'm gunna be like "that sucks >.>"

My oldest cat passed away Friday morning. She had been having liver troubles the last month or so, been taking her to vet and treating her. She was at the vet Wednesday, and was doing a lot better, but Thursday night I came home and she was on the ground struggling to breath, peed herself and was whining. We took her to an emergency clinic and I knew we had to put her down, but I wanted to wait til my brother and sister could come and say goodbye too. So we had them take care of her overnight, but she passed away an hour before we got to the clinic to take her to her normal vet.

I was really upset I put her through that. Really, as much as you'll miss your kitty, if she's in pain and treatment isn't an option, it's a choice you gotta make. :/

In the end I spent about $1500 on treatment, and I would've spent as much as I could have. But it just doesn't always help.

THe "We're poor" statement doesn't seems like something to be angry about. If you want to help the cat so much then I suggest that you take the cat to the vet yourself AND cover the cost.

You may be surprised by how much it can cost, most the time running from 200 to thousands of dollars.

I don't mean to be rude but that's just the way it is. Vets are not cheap and I'm completely understanding of your mothers point of view.

My cat is getting on in years, too. :( I don't see her very often anymore, since I live on a university campus during most of the year. Over the summer though, my mom's like "Do you want me to tell you if anything happens to her ?"

well i can't pay myself D: i'm 17 and in high school, i have no money. and i don't like just sitting here and watching him suffer ;-; he's laying against me right now, purring with his mouth open and it smells so bad :( aaaww. he's been going crazy and senile for a while now, but this is the only physical health problem he's had

If you don't like watching him suffer you could do something about it. 17 is old enough to get a job.

I'm sure I'm coming across as rude, but I'm not trying to be. I just think it's wrong to be mad at/rude to your mother because she say's she can't afford it.

Like I said, if you want to do something about it then YOU should.

Aside from old age, it sounds almost like Distemper, when my cats caught it, their saliva smelled bad and they usually drooled a bit, its not a comfortable way to die or to deal either. I'm sorry you're having to watch your cat go through a miserable time, I'd call around to the local vets or rescues, he sounds like he may need put down honestly :(

Perfectionist! Death terrifies me and I'm an animal lover >.> I'd sell a kidney to pay my cats vet costs if I needed to, but then again I care too much for just about any animal. Oh and I totally want to watch the Lion King now.
