Pritty much just what Josi said on the last page, make sure your polearm skill is capped, opo-opo necklass and sleep potions to charge tp before the fight > blinkband/SS torque, and whatever you can get ahold of for gear. Loading up on high potions might be helpful as well but other than that you just need to hope the random number generator works in your favor.
Kill his dragon first too I think but not 100% on that.

Thats great and very helpful. I have capped polearm evasion and parrying. I bought an opo opo neck. Thanks again i will do My best to beat him when the time comes :D

Blu/Bst/Cor don't really have a clear favorite I just go what I'm asked.
Pup is my favorite job to idle with in Port Jeuno at the moment!

I like playing all the weird jobs; haha.
My favourites were PUP, SCH and possibly DNC -- although I never got too into DNC.
I did HNMs for a while so, I got a lot of action time on WHM, BRD, COR, BLM, SMN, and RNG.
Out of those, I think WHM and BLM were my favourite.
Although, shooting sidewinders at Ixion from behind was always fun. (笑）
I havent played with many jobs yet.

BST main then comes DRG. Don't bother with the wyvern, go straight for Maat. Opopo + sleep potions to 100-200 TP. Go in there, weapon skill, Icarus Wing, weapon skill, Jump, High Jump, weaponskill for kill (hopefully). /salute Fellow Dragoon

As far as preferred jobs go, it's so hard to pick a top favorite. I'd say it's a tossup between SMN and WHM for me. My Mythic pipe dream would definitely be a Nirvana, but Yagrush is just too freaking amazing as well.
Then RNG (and I have the Gandiva to prove it :D)
THF and NIN next just because of the fast dual wielding fun.
I dunno I'm kind of all over the map!

I've beaten Maat on DRK years ago. Was a piece of cake somehow. I didnt made alot preparations and just went in to see how the fight is.. and won 1/1. I think i had just a blink band and 2 potions on me lol
