Since there's two of you there's a nice second option available. My wife and I often perma-sync our subjobs to 10. We each picked a job we had 0 interest in, preferably a 2 handed DD. Then we use that job to sync whatever subjob we're leveling. We kill stuff in the starter zones for 8-10k/hour without band (depends on if sync is helping or just on follow). When the sync job hits 14, xp drops off where we level so we set it's HP in the dunes, and kill it back to 10 (takes 10-15 minutes). Rinse and repeat.
