POL Password Setup?

I've recently had my POL password reset because I had lost it long ago but had luckily had auto-login and passwords saved.

When they reset the password, it wasn't in its usual form. The new password I received was not like my last one with 4 letters followed by 4 numbers. This PW has 4 numbers and then 4 letters. Every time I try to use it, it doesn't work.

Did they change the format or could they have possibly just changed my log-in password instead of my POL password? As far as I knew, the format has always been 4 Letters followed by 4 Numbers and the SE website even states that this is the format it follows.
