This is the 2nd time I distinctly remember a post by you that's pointing out some quirk that the Japanese engage in. (The first was about the brawl in the JP legislature)
Being half Japanese this makes me feel a little uncomfortable for large number of reasons, not the least of which is that you run a website that influences a large number of ppl.
I notice that articles about the lunacy in the US are few and far between.

I love Japan and it's culture. I have a Japanese website http://jp.ffxiah.com . My wife lived in Japan for a couple years, she helps me read Japanese. My bedroom is decorated with a Japanese theme, I can even take a pic. I even have 2 fake bamboo trees in it. :)
