This is a public service announcement and general awareness post. Due to the current ice storm affecting the US northeast coast there have been multiple reports of service interruptions and outages. My suspicion is that a fiber optics cable is down somewhere and an important connection has been severed.
I just got out of one of the most problematic gameplay experiences I've had in a limbus run. My client suffered numerous issues related to lag and packet loss that rendered the run near unplayable
The Matter Diffusion Module at the end of the zone did not respond to me no fewer than six times when I tried to interact with it. When I clicked the module my client locked up and I was unable to move my character. No menue to select a new floor, no ability to move, just complete loss of control. I had to hard crash and restart my client half a dozen times
Severe packet loss, chat log latency, and combat interruptions. At one point I was fighting a tonberry and I saw the chat log message "readies everyone's grudge", but there was almost a 5 or 6 second delay between the ready message and the moment the damage came through. I was constantly not seeing weaponskill animations, not seeing chat log reporting weaponskill damage, not disengaging automatically when a mob was dead even if there were no mobs to be engaged to (as in, I was engaged to NO target. Not swinging, just engaged to nothing) Had to manually disengage to fix this countless times.
My gear swaps completely failed. I could not even manually send a /console exec "gear swap name" command. All my gear macroes were non-functional. I have no idea what I was tping in or weaponskilling in most of the time, but it wasn't what it was supposed to be. I confirmed my macroes were fine. The game just wasn't handling packets right
I failed to receive the floor data in my inventory after multiple full bar fills. We cleared temenos west 3, 4 and 5 and none of the temporary items showed up for me. Relogging fixed the issue, meaning the server knew I had the data but my client was that out of sync.
Send values were normal in the 100-200 range most of the time, but receive spiked as high as 400-4500 range a couple times.
I can also confirm a service outage happened over discord no more than 12 hours prior. The issue has since been resolved, but for about 5 hours last night there was a mass-interrupion in discord PMs on specific channels documented on this reddit thread here

I've had many in game contacts confirm they've experienced similar issues. Friends list, Linkshell, and friends of one of the party members I was in. So it appears the issue is wide spread. I can't say which regions are hit the hardest, only that there is currently an outage. And you should be aware of it when you're playing for the next day or two. Especially if you're planning on grouping up.

I too have been having issues.
Failure to report temp items in inventory (luckily the server knows you have them but they won’t show in inventory, and it’s random which ones show and which don’t)
Getting Dialogue-Locked at the Elevator and completely unable to move or do anything, even if a mob is swinging at you
Dyna-D Levels of lag in general. This is normally pleasant with a party but this particular run sucked *** through a straw
Hopefully whatever happened gets fixed soon but if it was a Rainbow Root, it probably won’t be fixed for a few days :(
Anyone planning on doing Limbus that’s in the East Coast, let this serve as a fair warning

This one frustrated the hell out of our group because we went back to reclear for multiple people only to find out later it wasn't really necessary.
There's gotta be a major connection line severed somewhere due to the storm. Discord probably resolved their issue by rerouting data once they had enough info to determine where the problem lied. S-e on the other hand is based out of Japan, and I bet they're all out of office since it's Sunday. So it could take a little bit longer for this to get cleared up.

Thanks for sharing, we had alot of people reporting issues that we were have been running around looking into (thinking they were related to the recent windower update).
But the uesers all appear to be in that region, so this is likely the cause.

Yeah, I can't use /console exec commands to send gear swap packets right now. Either the gear fails to swap entirely or only a few pieces swap instead of the whole thing. I live in the central PA region and we're getting 12-18 inches dumped on our heads. There's already close to a foot of this nonsense on the ground and no signs of it letting up. Packets are failing and something got hit. Just gotta be patient and wait it out I guess.

It's local to that region is the safe bet. Japan does not seem affected. Usual JP based "content makers" are active per usual today and no delay on their uploads.
Should contact your isp, though doubtless they're already aware.

Similar issues, among those are killing Ghatjot and the door did not reopen. Wasted run. I also had a character lockup and no movement when using a silent oil, or bard song. Character stood there like it failed, but had the icon as if the sneak was applied.

We believe this issue is actual the recent windower update and will be reverting it.
Unsure of the exact root cause as it has been on dev with no reported issue of this nature for a long time.

Friend who lives in CA was complaining about this after updating windower this morning.
Said his chars were getting locked at every npc he was interacting with. I personally haven't had any issues yet, haven't updated windower yet so thought that was somehow causing issues.

I logged in after you guys pushed the revert and ran an apollyon run. Everything seems normal. No issues at all now.
