Looking To Create Sortie Static For 8/9-Boss

Looking to create solid, dedicated Sortie Static.

Proposed Time: Sometime between 7:30~9:00 EST M-F. (flexible depending on available candidates). Trying to be considerate of EST and CST folks that have to work the following mornings.

7:00 Saturday and Sunday.

Proposed Strategies: Melee or Mage (again...flexible).

Jobs Seeking: COR, RUN, PLD, DRK, WAR, RDM, BRD, GEO, SCH, BLM, WHM, DNC. These tend to be the core jobs people switch between depending on the strat. Open to DRG and SAM for melee.

Weapon Preferences: At least DREAM weapons. Stage 4/5 Primes are nice, but not critical.

Skill Preferences: It would be ideal to get people who are already very familiar with Sortie (i.e., you were part of a static, but it fell apart, or you're looking to branch out). Definitely willing to accept people who are less familiar.

Trying to avoid: Alts/Dual-boxers. It's just a lot to try to manage...even for those highly skilled at it

I'm familiar with Sortie (my last group was with close friends but they ended up being victims of Life). I'm more comfortable with BLM (currently I solo Sortie runs on it) but also have WHM leveled...Sam to.

Accepted, and I'm adding your name to the list. I have about 5 people so far. Hopefully, we can get something started before the end of the week, or a start date of next Monday.

After assessing the available jobs of the 5 people who responded, we're still in need of a healer, RDM and BRD. I can happily attempt RDM (ML 40 and well-geared), but I've never taken it into Sortie. Would be trial and error.

No. One thread seeks a forum/platform that connects mercs with people seeking mercs. This thread is specifically looking for a Sortie static. Similarly, in-game, I may merc MLs while I'm at work, but will run with a static in the evenings for specific content.

Then why not just merc Sortie?

Cost inefficient, plus you also have to play to enter bosses etc. - completely different ballgame.

Sortie is a 1-hour grind that requires a team's maximum effort in order to achieve maximum results. And every night teases the potential for +2 earrings. It's different than parking my character and going AFK for 12-20 hours.

No. When my previous static started doing Sortie, it was very much trial and error; but we found our stride. The first time I went in as RUN, it was trial and error, but we still successfully did an 8-boss and got the Aurum. A willingness to accept the growing pains of a new static does not represent a disconnect when PREFERRING (not mandating) people with prior experience. I also want to try it on RDM, SCH, and GEO, so I've been working on those. But there's always going to be the first time.

And if you're going to quote me, please do so correctly and more fully.

I am definitely interested in joining as RDM assuming I’m reading the time zone right, looking to make my second prime. My main LS runs events though at 5:30pm PDT so timing might be an issue.

I also have WHM leveled and geared. EST for me.
