Introducing FFXI Hub - A Progress Tracking Tool

Hey fellow FFXI players,

After noticing there wasn't a good way to keep track of everything we accomplish in FFXI, I built FFXI Hub, a simple tracking tool that helps you organize your progress across multiple characters.

https://ffxihub.com lets you track:
- Blue Mage spells (with locations and mob details)
- Missions and their completion status
- Trust magic collection
- Mounts you've acquired
- Teleport points you've unlocked

The site works for tracking multiple characters and is available in multiple languages (English, Japanese, German, French, Russian, and Spanish).

I built this for the community because I was tired of keeping spreadsheets and notes scattered all over the place. There are some ads on the site to help cover the hosting costs and keep the project sustainable, but the core functionality is completely free to use. I hate that too but I think it’s necessary to keep the site running.

This is just the beginning, I'm planning to add tracking for weapons, gear, and expand the mission coverage in future updates.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on what works, what doesn't, or features you'd like to see added! This is a passion project and I want to make it as useful as possible for everyone still enjoying FFXI.

Check it out at: https://ffxihub.com

A few ideas and notes since feedback is being asked for.
On the blu magic tracking, the Status says "No Learned"
I think it would be good to have the spell's traits and more specifically trait values such as set points and trait points. Could probably remove the stats bonus column if you run out of space because I don't think too many people are going to seek out learning a spell because of its stat bonuses.
Mighty guard has an entry about its effect in the stats bonus column so I'd remove that.
When searching by area, At first I assumed it looked at the zone's mob table and identified what mobs were there and then showed results but I'm not sure how it works now. Perhaps it's a work in progress but the Abyssea zones look a bit sparse given how many mobs there are.

I searched for Al'Taieu and it pulls multiple entries for each spell. I assume this is due to the Ul and Om versions of mobs?
It would be cool if it either removed the duplicate entries or displayed a column with the mob name so you'd know which ones use it. Then the duplicates wouldn't really matter so much. Even with this issue, it's still a cool feature if it gets fleshed out a bit more for blu's looking to learn everything in the zone they are in.

The "404 page" mandy when a search has no results was cute.

I would add telepoints and recalls like Dem mea etc
Add waypoints and frontier station/bivouacs.
Add proto waypoints/Geomagnetic Fount
They are very much out of date but you could add outposts.

Other things to add that tracking might help with
job unlocks and levels
craft levels
Job Points and mastered jobs
Master levels
JSE gear like AF, Relic, Empy, necks and earrings
Relic, Empy, Mythic, Ergon, Prime weapons creation and upgrades

Also be cool to have daily, weekly monthly checklists with a reset function to remind you of various things such as doing DI, Gobbie box, Peculiar foes etc.
That's what I can think off of the top of my head.

I know it might be a slightly unreasonable request given the skills and work it would involve but it would be cool if the site had a guildwork-like plugin/addon that would pull the data for you. Such as look at what missions/quests you had completed and what spells/gear/stuff you have and automatically fill out based on that. But hey, it'd be cool.

I can't tell you how grateful I am for your feedback!

You're absolutely right about the BLU section needing some polish.
This website has taken me about 4 years to complete not because it's particularly complex, but because I've been working on it whenever I can find free time between real life commitments.

I'm definitely planning to rework that section soon, and with some of the AI tools available now, the process should be much smoother than when I first built it.

Your weekly reminders suggestion is brilliant! I've added it to my priority list of features to implement.
That kind of quality-of-life improvement is exactly what I'm hoping to incorporate.

As for creating a tool/addon to automatically pull character info, I've actually been wondering about the feasibility of that myself.
I'm not entirely sure if it's possible with FFXI's current structure, but I'm excited to research it further.
If anyone in the community has experience with similar addons, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks again for taking the time to check out the site and provide such constructive feedback. This is exactly the kind of community input that will help make this resource better for everyone!

Neat, I'm sure its a ton of work so take my feedback as a grain of salt but the more automated you can have it track more complex information the more useful it will be.

Map acquisition might be another thing you can add.

Artifact/Relic/Empy armor unlock/upgrade status might be another thing, that users would find useful. (particularly the latter, find works even if its on a storage slip, but know if you can upgrade it is a bit more esoteric, since you need to find the right npc).

Title tracking by content would be awesome. based on how guildwork works, getting it from the game should be possible (even if you need to talk to an NPC)

RoEs might be another thing to add (the in game menu isn't too bad but there's a bunch of submenus and some loop, you can get lost in it).

This is really cool.

I used something similar for FFXIV and it was very helpful.

Thanks for the very nice work! I would definitely start using it if it collected the information automatically. Guildwork plugin is still worked and somehow kept alive by the wonderful people here at the FFXI AH forum, perhaps talk to somebody so you could get integrated to it? ffxiah.com would benefit from collecting the information as well. It would be a win-win situation for everybody :)

This would be amazing, but I can understand if it'd be a lot of work.

Also a "mark entire section as complete" button would be awesome. Already tired after doing assaults for just one char.
