Just looking at the options, presuming some cheeze / low effort battle, undying promise looks like the most likely candidate.

https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Undying_Promise

One mob that reraises 4 times, nothing to crowd control, no adds, etc. Says its 6 participants, but the battlefield page says its 3. I'm inclined to believe its 3 as well, based on the patterns (each area has a trio and fullPT battle).

https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Factory_Rejects
May also be a good easy candidate based on the page descriptor. Doesnt seem like the detector attacks, only the dolls do, and only one can be up at a time.

I'm not sure if pup overdrive cheese is viable for any though, dont think OD will last long enough.

Would like to know the preferred star orb lol, Been so long since I've done them. I feel like I was able to solo one at a time, but don't remember which (maybe worms?)

Not like I've kept that level 40 gear though.

For the HQ Synth note: eggs + distilled water + fire crystal was easy enough. Literally only two synthesis I did both HQ'd and counted. Eggs and Distilled Water easy to buy from NPCs.

Solo? boxed? The dreaded team up?

Solo (if a party, then just use multiple of the listed jobs)

Royal Jelly is complete cake, solo pup, bst, goon, blu/nin, Sch helices(dnc? rdm?)

Undying promise same deal easy solo pup or bst (maybe blu/nin)

Can't remember if you can just take Patrice and flatten Tales of Woe or not

For the Something Fishy quest, if you have the Blast from the Past quest active you'll need to finish that before you can trade Tokaka to complete Something Fishy. Nothing hard, just have to go hit a ??? in Maze of Shakrami to pop an NM with a 100% drop to turn in.

Factory Rejects using the Up In Arms attachments for PUP is an easy solo. Might be worth using Overdrive after you kill the 2nd doll to make the end of the fight go quicker.

Similarly, Undying Promise is probably easier to do with the same set up.

Tested this, and yes you can indeed call Sultry Patrice in the lobby. Stays out after getting the 40 level capped status inside. Be ready though, you need to grab a bunch of rabbits with Fluid Spread ASAP on pull. They hit Patrice pretty hard, so be prepared with Pet Food you can actually use at level 40, may want to bring Dawn Muslum, etc. I used Digest once, but particularly with 40-capped gear stats it kinda sucked. All the adds died to my Fluid Spreads but the big bunny actually killed my Patrice toward the end because I did NOT come in very prepared, but I finished it off myself.

Got the win, thanks for the suggestion!

Doesn't Unleash activation transfer to BCNM if used before entry? I know it does for those Mercenary Camp etc fights.

Yeah, the Star Orb one sucks. Tried Factory Rejects and Steamed Sprouts, but no luck. Just wasting seals. Not sure if I am set up for Up In Arms though.

I had no issues with PUP solo for Royal Jelly, using the setup I posted a couple pages back, and that was even after getting bound out of range of Deploy a couple times like a dumbass. Went /WHM to keep myself alive since the mobs will spam spells on you whilst your puppet is turning them into puddles.

Also, whilst you don't need to win Mandragora Madness to complete the Jingly objective, I made a solver for it anyways for fun. It's not on my Vana'Bout site's navbar but you can find it here.

The key to victory in basically any level capped scenario for Vana'Bout is using PUP.

I use this build a friend shared with me a while back (which I believe is originally from the Up In Arms thread?), with Thunder/Fire/Light manoeuvres, Overdrive, and it's honest to god just a free win. I'm not even sure if you need Overdrive for it, I just do it because it significantly speeds things up. Just put up manoeuvres, throw the puppet out, use Overdrive, sit back and watch the mob gain a new orifice.

I only needed to switch out two from what I already had. Also switching Fire > Thunder > Light was something I completely forgot.
Thanks, this helps a lot.

Edit: Tried Factory Rejects again and it was easy. Didn't need to heal myself or my Auto. Saved Overdrive to speed up the fight after the second doll like suggested above.

Ya the Royal Jelly as PUP with that set up was quite easy. Didn't have as much luck with Factory Rejects but my gear is meh since not really a PUP player.

Day 5 Objectives:

- Campaign Operative (Earn 1000 allied notes from Campaign Ops)
- Donations (Give Gajaad in Al Zahbi [J-6] an Imperial Bronze Piece)
- Comet Time (Win a BSNM50, uses a Comet Orb)
- Mihgo's Amigo (Give Nanaa Mihgo in Windurst Woods [J-3] 4 Yagudo Necklaces)
- Starting a Flame (Give Legata in Southern San d'Oria [K-6] 4 Flint Stones)

Probably safe to assume it will just loop now, since these are the same as Day 0.

Edit: Assuming the pattern actually holds, this should be the objectives for the rest of the event. Suppose we'll see tomorrow.

(Day 0 = Day 1 on this, was just easier to work it out for me that way)

can be traded to a non-matching apparatus to get... an elemental that drops an infinity core. Demonstrating the alternate way to get infinity cores that requires no Dynamis competition with any other people, even if you're on Asura. So, actually kind of a smart and elegant design.

Whenever I trade a Green Chip (it takes Red Chips) in Dangruf Wadi it just says "The device is not working." You're saying it should spawn an elemental that drops an infinity core?

Trade the chip and an infinity core - the core won't be used up, but the chip will. The elemental seems to have around a 50% drop rate on another core, or 1/2 clusters.

Wiki says this:
Quote:
Trading Process
Simply trade the corresponding chip and core to the apparatus to receive your reward. However, it makes more sense to first obtain "Doctor" status before trading, see below.

Trading a chip (and core) not matching the color of the apparatus will result in the spawning of an Elemental of the Strange Apparatus' given element/color.

The level of this elemental is unknown, and drops matching elemental crystal clusters and an Infinity Core.

Ffxiclopedia just says chip, so that part may have been an error, and you need the infinity core. The elemental is just refunding you your core.

How did I miss the first set? did they release it before the day reset or something? :| when I was asleep?

Also, which comet one is easiest to solo? hmm. I'll have to check earlier in thread.

There isn't much pup can't easily solo. Only really the things where it's severely outnumbered like Tails of Woe, where bsts aoe is better.

And it only "can't" do it well while outnumbered because it takes too long to deploy on more than 2-3 mobs. (flashbulbga!)

It also wasn't really that bad for me to farm some cores in Dyna. Went into San d'Oria on Mon evening and had fairly little competition (I saw two other solo players over ~45min). I grabbed like 9 cores (to get spares for the LS) farming the non-TE statues. Just pick the Dyna zone that's least crowded.

But my original point was more that even if your server is in constant cutthroat competition in every Dyna zone, the alternate method of getting extra cores from popping elementals at the Strange Apparatus is also a viable approach.

I farmed so many cores in Dynamis that I'm now making good money on selling em lol

Also, before I do the BCNM, which treasure chest is best to go for with the automata?
