Story Content Wall

I've been playing through the story content since June and have been pretty fortunate with the progression so far.

However, I'm now on Seekers of Adoulin Mission 5-2, where I must go and fight a pair of BCNMs. The one I can't seem to pass is Dhokmak. He AoEs my trust team into oblivion every time. Would love some recommendations on how to push past this fight.

My job Is Ninja (99).

My gear is basic stuff you can buy with Bayld in Western Adoulin. I haven't spent any time in the end-game zones.

My trust config is Valainderal, Ayame, Joachim, Shantotto II, and Yoran-Oran. I've also tried Koru-Moru in place of Shantotto to max magic Haste in exchange for magic burst.

Basically, I can't seem to deal enough damage before Dhokmak wipes my trusts with his AoE spam.

I'm sure I'm doing one or more things incorrectly, but some tips to get past this fight would be awesome.

Drop val for another mage that stays away if the mob moves (KoruMoru i believe does this). Swap aya for qultada. When he dies, you still have the rolls.

Its hard to give further assessment without knowing what other trusts you have?

AoE healing trusts, Selh'teus is vital for things like that. Change shantotto for koru or KingofHearts. Drop Ayame just an mp sponge. Sub in selhteus, prishe II, nashmeira II, one of the big aoe curebombers.

How is your RoV progress? would you have selhteus?

Doing some simple V2 ambuscade will drastically improve your damage and survivability. It will also get you a stack of remedies for poison.

Do a DI a day and pick up the rewards from it (you can just afk in zitah for 100 points)

You could also just ask for help and someone will kill it in 15 seconds. But all the previous stuff is what you should do regardless of this mission wall. As you will hit another wall sooner than later.

I am on RoV 2-17, so I'm not that far from having Selhteus. I got tired of grinding Dhokmak, so I started working through RoV. I just picked up nashmeira II and prishe II yesterday.

I also tried Ambuscade V2 for the first time today, so I think I can handle grinding that a bit. I wish I KoH, but I didn't get him when he was available.


Koru does largely stand clear of the splash, but everyone tends to get a little damage and then Yoran goes crazy and burns up his MP.

I'll try swapping in some of these trusts. I'll also go get Sel and I'll try grinding v2 ambuscade for some gear and items.

I would use Valaineral, Koru-Moru, Joachim, Selh'teus, and Yoran-Oran.

The problem is the main monster has a poison AOE aura, which is draining all your trusts mp. Seltheus can restore hp and mp, koru and joachim will also help keep mp up. May also want to sub dancer as well.

Kill the little ones first, then the main monster.

Funny story, I started the Dhokmak battle and realized I had to run an errand. By the time I drove to my destination and got back, there was only 8 minutes left on the battle clock. Despite that, I went ahead and played the fight and still managed to kill Dhokmak before the timer ran out. The difference was Selh'teus. He kept Yoran stocked with MP and Yoran kept everyone alive.

My final party:

Valaineral, Joachim, Shantotto II, Yoran-Oran and Selh'teus

Selhteus really is the champion of making sure the terribad trusts always have enough mp so you live 5 more seconds.

Their mp management without him specifically is always trouble
